Steel sheet for container use able to realize superior corrosion resistance and canmaking ability, wherein at least one side of the steel sheet is provided with a chemical conversion coating film including a mixture of a zirconium oxide compound and a zirconium phosphate compound, the zirconium oxide compound is segregated at part or all of a region of 40 to 100% from the surface with respect to the total thickness of the chemical conversion coating film, and the zirconium phosphate compound is segregated at part or all of a region of 0 to 40% from the surface with respect to the total thickness of the chemical conversion coating film.

An encoding controlling apparatus is disclosed which includes: offset holding means for holding an offset equivalent to a time period by which to start encoding an audio signal earlier than a video signal upon recording of a chapter; recording mode determining means for determining whether a seamless connection is possible between the preceding chapter and the following chapter in order to set an initial value of the offset depending on an outcome of the determination; offset updating means for updating the offset in keeping with progress in encoding the video signal and the audio signal; and recording controlling means for giving an instruction either to start or to stop the encoding of the video signal and the audio signal in accordance with the offset. The inventive apparatus controls the encoding process in keeping with the offset between the audio and video signals, thereby achieving seamless connection between chapters without incurring discrepancies between the video and audio signals.

Recording-mode determination means for determining an initial value of the occupied amount of a virtual buffer based on a determination result relating to seamless connection between a preceding chapter and the following chapter that are included in video signals, occupied-amount update means for updating the occupied amount of the virtual buffer, optimum-occupied-amount calculation means for calculating a predetermined optimum occupied amount based on the updated occupied amount of the virtual buffer, target-code-amount calculation means for calculating a predetermined target-code amount based on the video signals of the following chapter, target-code-amount adjustment means for adjusting the target code amount so that the sum total of the occupied amount of the virtual buffer and the target code amount does not exceed the optimum occupied amount, and encoding means for performing the encoding according to the adjusted target code amount are provided.

Video-encoding device and video-encoding control method

If it is detected that moving image data stored in a buffer increases in size beyond a first size and then reaches a second size, a portion of the moving image data from a head thereof stored in the buffer, corresponding to the first size, is retrieved and output as a moving image object. If it is detected that the final moving image data belonging to a chapter is stored in the buffer, the whole moving image data stored in the buffer is retrieved and output as a moving image object. Even immediately after the moving image data corresponding to the first size is retrieved from the buffer, the moving image object of the second size for seamless connection between chapters is acquired.
