A first balance electrode unit electrically connected to a pair of balance terminals (a first balance terminal and a second balance terminal) is formed on a main surface of a fourth dielectric layer sandwiched by an upper grounding electrode and a lower grounding electrode in a dielectric substrate. A second balance electrode unit electrically connected to a pair of balance terminals on the main surface of a seventh dielectric layer. An unbalance electrode unit electrically connected to an unbalance terminal is formed on the main surface of a fifth dielectric layer.

Unbalanced-balanced converter

A passive part includes a filter unit having first resonance electrode to a third resonance electrode and an impedance matching circuit unit electrically connected to the third resonance electrode of the filter unit arranged on a dielectric substrate. The entire passive part has a configuration including a circuit unit equivalent to characteristic containing the second impedance matching circuit by an impedance component of the third resonance electrode. For example, by modifying the width of the third resonance electrode, it is possible to adjust the impedance in the same way as when a capacitance as the impedance matching circuit unit is connected, without connecting any capacitance.

Module and passive part

A passive component is provided with a filter section employing a nonequilibrium input/output system, which has an input side resonator connected to a nonequilibrium input terminal, and an output side resonator coupled with the input side resonator; and a converting section having two double line coupled lines. An output stage of the filter section is connected with an input stage of the converting section through a first capacitor, and an input stage of the filter section is connected with the input stage of the converting section through a second capacitor. Namely, the second capacitor functions as a jump capacitor. The position of an attenuation pole is permitted to be adjusted by a second capacitor in a region low in frequency characteristics.

Passive component

A dielectric substrate includes a filter unit, a non-balance/balance conversion unit, and a connection unit for electrically connecting the filter unit to the non-balance/balance conversion unit which are formed in the dielectric substrate. A first resonator has an electrode formed on the main surface of a fourth dielectric layer and a via hole penetrating through a first to a third dielectric layers and connecting the electrode to a grounding electrode. A second resonator has an electrode formed on the main surface of the fourth dielectric layer and a via hole penetrating through the first to the third dielectric layers and connecting the electrode to the grounding electrode.

Passive part

A stacked dielectric filter includes a filter section which has first and second input side resonant electrodes and first and second output side resonant electrodes of two &frac14; wavelength resonators, a converting section which has a plurality of strip lines, and a connecting section which connects the filter section and the converting section, wherein the filter section, the converting section, and the connecting section are formed in a dielectric substrate. The filter section is formed at an upper portion in the stacking direction of dielectric layers. The converting section is formed at a lower portion in the stacking direction. The connecting section is formed between the filter section and the converting section.
