An object of the present invention is to provide a highly versatile master batch for producing a fiber-reinforced resin composition with high strength even when a highly hydrophobic resin is used as a resin for dilution (a resin that constitutes a fiber-reinforced resin composition). The master batch contains AcylMFs (A), a Pm (B), and a Com (C) and is for use in the production of a fiber-reinforced resin composition by mixing with a Pd (D), wherein the AcylMFs (A), Pm (B), Com (C), and Pd (D) satisfy the following conditions: (a) the AcylMFs (A) have an SPof 10 or more; (b) the Pm (B) has an SPof 9 to 15, and the SPis equal to or greater than the SPof the Pd (D); and (c) the Com (C) has an SPequal to or less than the SPof the AcylMFs (A).

The present invention provides a resin composition high in melting flow, exhibiting good properties, excellent in moldability and shrinkage properties, and hence suitable for automobile exteriors, by including (A) propylene/ethylene block copolymer having a melt flow rate (MFR) of 100 to 200 g/10 min., its propylene homopolymer component having an MFR of 210 to 400 g/10 min. and isotactic pentad fraction of 0.98 or more, and its copolymer portion containing propylene at 65 to 85% by weight; 50 to 70% by weight, (B) ethylene/octene and/or ethylene/butene random copolymer; 10 to 25% by weight, (C) styrene-based hydrogenated block copolymer rubber; 4 to 9% by weight and (D) talc; 16 to 24% by weight.

A thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) a propylene/ethylene block copolymer, (B) a combination of a low-crystalline ethylene/butene random copolymer resin and an amorphous ethylene/butene random copolymer rubber, or a combination of an ethylene/octene copolymer rubber and an ethylene/propylene copolymer rubber, (C) a specific block elastomer, and (D) talc. This composition has good injection molding properties, can reveal excellent flexural modulus, heat resistance and surface hardness, and is suitable for producing such injection-molded products as interior automotive trims.

A process for producing an oriented blown film of a thermoplastic resin by blown film extrusion, carried out by blowing air into an extruded bubble of the resin extruded from a ring die to expand the bubble and cooling the expanded bubble with air from a cooling air ring, wherein blown film extrusion is carried out under such conditions that the ratio of (b) the final diameter of the expanded bubble to (a) the diameter of the bubble at the crystallizing temperature of the thermoplastic resin ((b)/(a)) ranges from 1.5 to 10. The process provides an oriented blown film excellent in strength, appearance, and heat shrinkage characteristics.

Production of oriented thermoplastic films by blown-film extrusion

A plated polyamide resin article obtained by plating, with a suitable plating substance, a molded article of a polyamide resin composition is disclosed, the polyamide resin composition comprising (A) from 30 to 80% by weight of a polyamide resin, (B) from 20 to 70% by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin, (C) from 1 to 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of (A) and (B), of an impact modifier, and (D) from 0.01 to 30 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of (A) and (B), of a compatibilizer, in which the polyamide resin forms a continuous phase, and the polyphenylene ether resin forms a dispersed phase, with the polyamide resin having a crystallinity of from 20 to 55% with the crystalline region thereof being not less than 72% in the .gamma. crystal form. The plated article is excellent in heat resistance, impact resistance, and appearance.

The composition is excellent in both impact strength, particularly on a plane part of a plate-molded article, and dimensional stability.

Polyphenylene ether-polyamide resin composition

A resin composition comprising a resin component comprising a polyphenylene ether resin and a polyamide resin, an aromatic vinyl compound-conjugated diene block copolymer, and a compound having an unsaturated group and a polar group in the molecule thereof. The composition is excellent in impact strength both at low temperature and room temperature, tensile elongation indicative of toughness, and organic solvent resistance.
