A printing system includes a terminal device, a printing server that receives print data from the terminal device, and a printing device that performs printing based on the print data received by the printing server. The terminal device stores terminal authentication printing setting information indicating a setting relating to authentication printing and set in the terminal device. The printing server stores change authentication printing setting information for changing the terminal authentication printing setting information. The terminal device transmits, to the printing server, request information requesting the change authentication printing setting information. A server includes a server storage that stores a print job related information record in which a print job ID is associated with network information, a first acquirer that acquires a print request, a transmitter that transmits a print instruction to a terminal device based on the stored network information associated with the print job ID included in the print request acquired by the first acquirer, a second acquirer that acquires print job information from the terminal device, and an updater that updates, based on the acquired print job information, the stored print job related information record including the print job ID included in the print job information acquired by the second acquirer.

A printing control apparatus suppresses information leaking due to a print job being printed when the user is not at the printer. A printing control apparatus that connects to a terminal and a printer has: a communicator configured to receive from the terminal a specified-printer job, which is a print job for which the printer is designated as a print destination; and a controller. If the specified-printer job is not confidential, the controller sends print data based on the specified-printer job to a specified printer, which is the printer designated as the print destination in the specified-printer job. If the specified-printer job is confidential, the controller receives authentication information input to the printer from the printer and executes an authentication process based on the authentication information, and sends the print data to an authenticated printer according to a result of the authentication process.

A print server connected to printers includes a job data receiving unit configured to receive job data subject to printing, a first conversion unit, an instruction receiving unit, a second conversion unit, and a transmission unit. The first conversion unit is configured to convert the job data into intermediate image data having a pixel count of a minimum pixel count or less among pixel counts of print data to be input to each of the printers. The instruction receiving unit is configured to, after the job data is received, receive an instruction specifying a printing execution printer. The second conversion unit is configured to generate the print data corresponding to the printing execution printer by converting the intermediate image data to data of the pixel count to be input to the printing execution printer. The transmission unit is configured to transmit the print data to the printing execution printer.
