A thermosensitive adhesive label comprising a laminate film of a first film layer and a second film layer, and a thermosensitive adhesive layer on the surface of the second film layer side of the laminate, wherein the Bekk smoothness of the surface of the first film layer side of the laminate film is from 2000 to 20000 seconds, the Bekk smoothness of the surface of the second film layer side of the laminate film is from 800 to 20000 seconds, the contact angle with water of the surface of the second film layer side of the laminate film is from 20 to 80&#xb0;, and the surface strength of the thermosensitive adhesive layer is from 0.6 to 1.8 kg-cm.

A surrounding label wherein the back side of an ending part can be superposed on and bonded with a water-based adhesive to the front side of a beginning part, the back side of the surrounding label has a water absorption of from 1 to 30 ml/m, the surrounding label has an Elmendorf tear strength, as measured in either of the winding direction of the label or the direction perpendicular to that direction, of from 8 to 50 gF, and the label contains a thermoplastic resin.

A paper seal comprising a stretched thermoplastic resin film that comprises (a) a surface layer, (b) a substrate layer, and (c) a water-based adhesive-receiving layer having a water absorption level of from 2 to 25 ml/m, wherein the stretched thermoplastic resin film has a porosity of from 20 to 50% and a 120&#xb0;-opening time by bending repulsion of from 20 to 70 seconds. The paper seal can be stuck in a flat state without being curled by the environmental influence during labeling or by the influence of seasonal variation, and can be peeled off completely.
