In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a first flexible printed board and a second flexible printed board may extend in a +X direction perpendicular to an optical axis from a chassis surrounding the outer circumference side of a movable body and a gimbal structure. A cover may house the chassis and bend portions of the first flexible printed board and the second flexible printed board. The cover may include an image-side cover and an object-side cover, and the first flexible printed board and the second flexible printed board may include securing portions that are secured to the image-side cover. The object-side cover may include a first cover covering the chassis and a second cover covering the first flexible printed board and the second flexible printed board. The first cover may include a cover portion covering the coupling position of the chassis and the second cover.

Optical unit with shake correction function

An optical unit with a shake correction function includes a movable body having a lens, a turning support mechanism structured to turnably support the movable body around an optical axis of the lens, a gimbal mechanism structured to turnably support the turning support mechanism, a fixed body which supports the movable body through the gimbal mechanism and the turning support mechanism, a shake correction magnetic drive mechanism, and a rolling correction magnetic drive mechanism. The turning support mechanism includes a plate roll fixed to the movable body, a plate holder provided with a facing part which faces the plate roll in a direction of the optical axis, and a turning mechanism which is provided between the plate roll and the facing part and is structured so that the plate roll is turnable with respect to the plate holder. The gimbal mechanism turnably supports the plate holder around the first axis.

An optical unit with a shake correction function includes a movable body having a lens, a turning support mechanism structured to turnably support the movable body around an optical axis of the lens, a gimbal mechanism structured to turnably support the turning support mechanism around a first axis and around a second axis intersecting the optical axis, a fixed body which supports the movable body through the gimbal mechanism and the turning support mechanism, a shake correction magnetic drive mechanism structured to turn the movable body around the first axis and around the second axis, and a rolling correction magnetic drive mechanism structured to turn the movable body around the optical axis. The shake correction magnetic drive mechanism and the rolling correction magnetic drive mechanism are arranged in a circumferential direction around the optical axis.

In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a rotation support structure, which supports a movable body rotatably around an optical axis, may be supported by a gimbal structure rotatably around a first axis and a second axis intersecting with the optical axis so that, even when the movable body is rotating around the first axis or the second axis, the rotation axis of the movable body by the rotation support structure coincides with the optical axis of the movable body.

A retainer of a rotation support structure may include an outer protrusion on the outer circumference side of a spherical-object holding hole and an inner protrusion on the inner circumference side thereof. The outer protrusion may be in contact with a plate-holder circular arc wall of a plate-holder annular portion, and the inner protrusion may be in contact with a plate-roll annular wall of a plate-roll annular portion. When the plate-roll annular portion and the plate-holder annular portion shift with respect to the identical axis, the relative movement between the plate-roll annular portion and the plate-holder annular portion in the radial direction may be transmitted to a spherical object via the outer protrusion. Also, the relative movement may be transmitted to the spherical object via the inner protrusion, which makes the spherical object active.

An optical unit with a shake correction function includes a turning support mechanism structured to turnably support a movable body having a lens around an optical axis, and a gimbal mechanism structured to turnably support the turning support mechanism. The gimbal mechanism includes a gimbal frame and a first connection mechanism which turnably connects a plate holder with the gimbal frame around a first axis, and the first connection mechanism includes a first support member which is protruded from the gimbal frame to a side of the plate holder on the first axis, and a first concave curved face which is provided in the plate holder and is turnably brought into contact with a tip end of the first support member. A reinforcement member is fixed to the gimbal frame so that a portion of the gimbal frame where the first axis is passed is reinforced.

An optical device may include a movable body holding a lens, a fixed body movably holding the movable body, a drive magnet and a drive coil for relatively moving the movable body with respect to the fixed body, and a metal member fixed to the drive magnet. The drive magnet is fixed to one of the movable body and the fixed body and the drive coil is fixed to the other of the movable body and the fixed body. A nickel plating layer containing at least nickel is formed on a surface of the drive magnet and a surface of the metal member, and the drive magnet and the metal member are joined to each other by a joining layer which is made of tin-based metal containing at least tin and is disposed between the drive magnet and the metal member.

Optical device and manufacturing method therefor

A lens drive device formed in a substantially quadrangular shape may include a movable body holding a lens, a fixed body movably holding the movable body, and a drive mechanism for driving the movable body in the optical axis direction. The drive mechanism may include first drive magnets respectively disposed on four side faces of the lens drive device, a second drive magnet for restraining inclination which is disposed on at least one of four corners of the lens drive device, and a drive coil which is wound around in a substantially octagonal shape. Magnetic flux passing through the drive coil at one of the four corners of the lens drive device is different from magnetic fluxes passing through the drive coil at the other three corners, or magnetic fluxes passing through the drive coil at two corners adjacent to each other of the four corners of the lens drive device are different from magnetic fluxes passing through the drive coil at the other two corners.

A lens drive device may include a support body, a movable body having a lens, a magnetic drive mechanism having a coil mounted on the movable body and a magnet mounted on the support body for magnetically driving the movable body in a lens optical axis direction, two spring pieces which are connected between the movable body and the support body for supporting the movable body and which is used as a power supply member to the coil, and two binding pins which are provided in the movable body and around which coil ends of winding start and winding end of the coil are wound. Portions of the coil ends which are wound around the binding pins are electrically connected with the spring pieces.

A DC motor with brushes includes a rotary shaft, an armature rotatable with the rotary shaft, a stator magnet disposed opposite to the armature, a commutator affixed on the side of the armature, and a pair of inside and outside brushes retained by a brush holder in a manner that the brushes are brought in contact with a peripheral surface of the commutator. The pair of brushes has an identical configuration. The outside brush is bent in a direction away from the other brush when the pair of the brushes is retained by the brush holder. The outside brush is further bend when in contact with the commutator. The inside brush has an end section extending toward an intermediate point of the outer brush in a longitudinal direction thereof. Each of the outside brush and the inside brush has a base section that is affixed to a terminal and an end section that is brought in contact with the commutator. The end section is bent with respect to the base section such that each of the outside brush and the inside brush defines a generally L-shape.

A motor has a rotatably supported rotor shaft and a rotator that rotates together with the rotor shaft. The rotator includes a shaft insertion section that has an internal peripheral surface and a specified length in an axial direction in which the rotor shaft is inserted. The internal peripheral surface has a first internal peripheral surface of a small diameter and a second internal peripheral surface having a diameter slightly greater than that of the first internal peripheral surface. The first internal peripheral surface engages the rotor shaft under a pressure, and the second internal peripheral surface is slightly spaced a distance from the rotor shaft, such that a gap is created between the second internal peripheral surface and the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is pressure-inserted in the first internal peripheral surface to be affixed to the rotator, and an adhesive is filled in the gap between the second internal peripheral surface and the rotor shaft to affix the second internal surface to the rotator.
