An automotive door construction is configured so that a door trim is divided into an upper trim and a lower trim ; a glass elevating mechanism is installed on the inside surface of the lower trim so that the upper end of a guide rail projects upward from the upper edge of the lower trim ; and the glass elevating mechanism is inserted from the upper end of the guide rail of the glass elevating mechanism through a mount hole in an inner panel and is housed in a door bag portion and then the lower trim is lowered along the inner panel by which the glass elevating mechanism and lower trim are installed to the inner panel By forming the relatively small mount hole which is shorter than the total length of the guide rail in the inner panel the modularized glass elevating mechanism is incorporated in the door bag portion Therefore, the automotive door construction in which a modularized glass elevating mechanism can be incorporated without the formation of a large mount hole in the inner panel can be provided.

Automotive door construction

An automotive door comprises generally an outer module; an inner module and a window pane lifter module interposed between the outer and inner modules. The window pane lifter module includes a door inner waist reinforce member which is fixed to an inner panel of the outer module and a window pane regulator which is connected to the door inner waist reinforce member and regulates the window pane. The door inner waist reinforce member, the window pane regulator and the window pane are integrally assembled to constitute a unit.

A canvas top type sunroof structure is disclosed, which comprises a pair of guide members which extend along respective sides of a sunroof aperture; a canvas top adapted to cover the aperture; a carry member having a terminal part of the canvas top secured thereto, the carry member being slidably guided by the guide members; a latching device for latching the carry member to one end of the aperture when the carry member comes to a given terminal position relative to the aperture; and a brake mechanism for restraining the carry member to one of the guide members when the carry member assumes a position other than the given terminal position.

Canvas top type sunroof structure for motor vehicle

Herein disclosed is a canvas top type sunroof structure for a motor vehicle having an apertured roof. The sunroof structure comprises a pair of guide members which extend along respective sides of the aperture of the roof; a canvas top adapted to cover the aperture; a front carry member having a front part of the canvas top secured thereto, the front carry member being slidably guided by the guide members; guided carry members slidably guided by the guide members and carrying thereon a major middle part of the canvas top; free carry members carried by the guided carry members respectively, each free carry member carrying thereon the major middle part of the canvas top; a biasing spring for biasing each free carry member upward relative to the corresponding guided carry member; a rear carry member having a rear part of the canvas top secured thereto, the rear carry member being slidably guided by the guide members; an electric drive device for driving the front carry member forward and rearward along the guide members; and a lock device for selectively locking and unlocking the rear carry member to a rear given portion of the roof.

A wire terminal attaching structure of a driven rotary body comprises a drive device for driving the driven rotary body, a cover for rotatably supporting and surrounding the driven rotary body, and an engaging device formed in the driven rotary body and engagable with a terminal portion of a wire. The engaging device has a guide groove connected to a circumferential groove formed in the driven rotary body and receiving the wire, and an inserted port communicated with the guide groove and receiving the terminal portion of the wire. The cover has a cut-out portion for exposing the guide groove and the inserted port. The cover comprises a base plate rotatably supporting the driven rotary body and a cover for surrounding the driven rotary body and having the cut-out portion. The wire is connected to an auxiliary member operated by the movement of the wire. The inserted port is disposed along the axial direction of the driven rotary body.

Herein disclosed is an air spoiler retracting device which comprises a casing; a reversible electric motor disposed in the casing and having a drive shaft; a carry bar held by the casing and axially movable in parallel with the axis of the drive shaft, the carry bar having one end to which a spoiler proper is connected; a first transmission mechanism including a first gear driven by the drive shaft of the motor and a second gear meshed with the first gear; a second transmission mechanism for converting the rotational movement of the second gear to the axial movement of the carry bar; a pivoting mechanism for permitting a pivotal movement of the carry bar relative to the second transmission mechanism; and a pivoting movement assisting mechanism for assisting the function of the pivoting mechanism, the assisting mechanism including at least one elastomeric member sandwiched between attached two parts.

Air spoiler retracting device

A door control device is disclosed, which comprises a full closing lock device mounted to the door and latchingly restraining the door to the vehicle body when the door is pivoted to its fully closed position; a lock cancelling operation switch mounted on the door at a position to be manipulatable from the outside of the vehicle body; a full closing lock cancelling device mounted on the door and cancelling a locked condition of the full closing lock device upon operation of the lock cancelling operation switch; a door driving device arranged between the door and the vehicle body, the door driving device driving the door to a predetermined half-open position upon cancellation of the locked condition of the full closing lock device; a half opening lock device mounted on the door and latchingly restraining the door to the vehicle body when the door is pivoted to the half-open position; and a half opening lock cancelling device mounted on the door for cancelling a locked condition of the half opening lock device.

Door control device

A pair of cables to move a sliding door are introduced into the sliding door and connected to a linkage fixed to the sliding door. The linkage transmit part of the power to move the sliding door to a door lock to operate the latch of the door lock. The linkage also takes up slack in the pair of cables when loosened.
