A biological information measurement device includes a first light emitting portion that emits first light, a second light emitting portion that emits second light, a light receiving portion that receives the first light reflected by an epidermis of a skin, a dermis of the skin, and a subcutaneous layer, and the second light reflected by the epidermis and dermis of the skin, and a processing unit that calculates biological information by removing noise, from a first detection signal output based on the first light received by the light receiving portion, using a second detection signal output based on the second light received by the light receiving portion.

A carrier sensor senses the input/output level of a radio processing unit. When the input/output level sensed by the carrier sensor is more than a specified level, a transmission-reception controller stops internal radio communication by stopping the operation of transmission/reception units. When the input/output level sensed by the carrier sensor is less than a specified level, the transmission-reception controller allows internal radio communication by operating the transmission/reception units.

A phase-shift keying (PSK) receiver includes a carrier wave generator generating a carrier wave, an extracting unit extracting an in-phase component I and a quadrature component Q from a received signal on the basis of the carrier wave and the received signal, a comparator comparing the in-phase component I and the quadrature component Q extracted from the received signal to a predetermined threshold values respectively and acquiring 1-bit digital signals corresponding to the in-phase component I and the quadrature component Q respectively; and a BPSK demodulator demodulating the received signal using a binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) scheme on the basis of positional relationship on I-Q constellation between the 1-bit digital signals corresponding to the in-phase component I and the quadrature component Q acquired by the comparator.

When a first half of a transmission packet is sent by an FSK modulating signal, and a latter half thereof is sent by a PSK modulating signal, a received signal is converted into an intermediate frequency signal by a mixer. The converted intermediate frequency signal is switched to an FSK demodulation unit and a PSK demodulation unit by a received signal changeover switch. A frequency error detection circuit is provided in the FSK demodulation unit to detect a frequency error detection value. A demodulation circuit of a phase locked loop type of the PSK demodulation unit includes a loop filter. The frequency error detection value detected by the frequency error detection circuit is set as an initial value of this loop filter, whereby a time until lockup of a phase locked loop is reduced at the time when reception of a PSK modulating signal is started.

A hopping control device selects one hopping pattern out of hopping patterns Pto PN, reads out a hopping frequency sequence arranged in the selected hopping pattern from a frequency hopping pattern memory, and sends the hopping frequency sequence to frequency synthesizers as a frequency designation signal by wire at a predetermined period. The frequency synthesizers generate local oscillation signals of a frequency specified by the frequency designation signal, respectively, and output the local oscillator signals to mixers, respectively, to thereby perform communication by a frequency hopping system between a first housing unit and a second housing unit.
