It is an object of the present invention to provide an aqueous ink for ink jet recording capable of recording a yellow image excellent in color developability and light resistance. An aqueous ink for ink jet recording contains a plurality of pigments and a resin dispersant. The plurality of pigments includes C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 and C.I. Pigment Yellow 138. A cumulative 50% particle diameter in volume-based particle size distribution of the C.I. Pigment Yellow 138 is 85 nm or less. A ratio of the cumulative 50% particle diameter in volume-based particle size distribution of the C.I. Pigment Yellow 138 to a cumulative 50% particle diameter in volume-based particle size distribution of the C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 is 0.72 times or less.

Aqueous ink, ink cartridge and ink jet recording method

The aqueous ink for ink jet contains a resin particle dyed with a fluorescent dye, and a water-soluble resin. The fluorescent dye contains a fluorescence-emitting dye selected from the group consisting of basic dye, disperse dye and oil-soluble dye, the resin particle has a core portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit and cyano group-containing unit, and a shell portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit, an anionic group-containing unit and a crosslinking agent-derived unit, but free of cyano group-containing unit, percentage (% by mass) of the crosslinking agent-derived unit in the shell portion is 30% by mass or more to 80% by mass or less, the water-soluble resin having an aromatic group-containing unit and an anionic group-containing unit, and the water-soluble resin having an acid value of 100 mgKOH/g or more to 180 mgKOH/g or less.

Provided is an aqueous ink for ink jet, containing a resin particle, and a cyclic amide-based, water-soluble organic solvent. The resin particle has a core portion that contains a cyano group-containing unit, and a shell portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit, an anionic group-containing unit and a unit derived from a crosslinking agent, but free of cyano group-containing unit. Ink jet recording using the aqueous ink can record images that excel in abrasion resistance and gloss clarity.

An aqueous ink for ink jet, the aqueous ink containing a pigment and a resin. The pigment is impregnated with a compound having a structure in which at least two structures each represented by General Formula (1) are bonded by a glycoside bond. 

Aqueous ink, ink cartridge, and ink jet recording method

An ink jet ink contains a polyurethane polymer and a self-dispersing pigment. The polyurethane polymer has units derived from a polyisocyanate, a polyol having no acid group, and a diol having an acid group. The molar ratio of the percentage of the urethane bond in the polyurethane polymer to the percentage of the urea bond in the polyurethane polymer is 85.0/15.0 or more and 100.0/0 or less. The ink jet ink may be capable of producing an image having high optical density, scratch resistance, and highlighter resistance, and which has excellent ink ejection stability and can reduce image deflection caused by face wetting.

An ink containing a plurality of coloring materials having different hues, wherein the bronze value B, which is calculated from tristimulus values of reflected light, of illumination in the direction of an angle of 45 degrees to a normal to the image, in the direction of specular reflection and tristimulus values of illumination light under the same condition of the illumination by using Formula 1, with respect to a predetermined recorded image recorded by the above-described ink is 2.0 or less.

An ink jet ink contains a polyurethane polymer and a pigment. The polyurethane polymer has units derived from a polyisocyanate, a polyether polyol having no acid group, and a diol having an acid group. The pigment is dispersed using a polymer other than the polyurethane polymer. The molar ratio of the percentage of the urethane bond in the polyurethane polymer to the percentage of the urea bond in the polyurethane polymer is 85.0/15.0 or more and 100.0/0 or less.

An ink jet ink contains a polyurethane polymer and a pigment. An ink containing a plurality of polymers and carbon black, wherein the plurality of polymers include a polymer A having an acid value of 200 mgKOH/g or more and 300 mgKOH/g or less and a polymer B having an acid value of 80 mgKOH/g or more and 180 mgKOH/g or less, the weight average molecular weight of the polymer A is larger than the weight average molecular weight of the polymer B, the carbon black has a DBP oil absorption of 75 mL/100 g or less and a specific surface area of 200 m/g or more, and each of -Ph-(CH)&#x2014;NHand -Ph-(CH)&#x2014;NH&#x2014;R serving as a functional group is bonded to surfaces of the carbon black particles, wherein in these formulae, Ph represents a phenylene group, n represents an integer of 0 to 2, and R represents the polymer A.

An object of the invention is to provide an ink set which enables to improve image density and scratch resistance of the images recorded using an ink containing a self-dispersion pigment and an ink containing a modified siloxane compound. Provided are an ink jet ink set, an ink jet recording method, and an ink jet recording apparatus each of which can reduce the graininess of an image to be recorded and improve the water fastness of the image even in a recording medium such as plain paper.
