A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head configured to eject a liquid onto a medium; a maintenance unit that performs a maintenance operation for the liquid ejecting head; a mounting mechanism in which is mounted a waste liquid container that houses a portion of the liquid discharged as a waste liquid from the liquid ejecting head; and an access area that is provided vertically below a transport path along which the medium is transported and that is accessible from an apparatus front side, which is a downstream side in a transport direction in which the medium is transported, the mounting mechanism including a housing portion that houses the waste liquid container and being disposed so that a mounting port for mounting the waste liquid container in the housing portion opens to the access area.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head provided with a nozzle and a cap that executes capping for forming a first space to which the nozzle is open, in a surrounding manner. The cap includes a capping member that is provided with a suction hole and an atmosphere communicating hole which is configured to allow an inside of the cap to communicate with an outside, a liquid absorber that is disposed inside the capping member, and a reception member that is disposed inside the capping member so as to form a second space between the liquid absorber and the reception member. The second space is positioned closer to a side of the liquid ejecting head than to the liquid absorber in a posture of capping, and the atmosphere communicating hole is open to the second space.

Liquid ejecting apparatus and cap

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a head configured and arranged to discharge a liquid including a sedimentary substance, and a liquid supply path for supplying the liquid from a liquid tank where the liquid is retained to the head. The liquid supply path has differences in elevation of a predetermined length or more in a vertical direction. The liquid supply path has a portion formed into a stepped shape and an angle formed by a width portion and a height portion in the portion formed into the stepped shape is 45 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes an ink tank configured and arranged to retain sedimentary ink, a head configured and arranged to discharge the sedimentary ink, an ink tube configured and arranged to supply the sedimentary ink from the ink tank to the head, and a circulation pump configured and arranged to circulate the sedimentary ink in the ink tube. A connection section between the ink tube and a pipe of the circulation pump is provided at one of a horizontal section of the ink tube and an upper portion of a vertical section of the ink tube.

Liquid discharge apparatus and liquid discharging method

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a first ink cartridge accommodating section configured and arranged to accommodate a plurality of ink cartridges, a second ink cartridge accommodating section provided to an upper side of the first ink cartridge accommodating section in a height direction configured and arranged to accommodate a plurality of ink cartridges, and a relay tank provided to an upper side of the second ink cartridge accommodating section in the height direction, and configured and arranged to retain a plurality of inks sent from the first ink cartridge accommodating section and the second ink cartridge accommodating section. The ink cartridge with sedimentary ink among the plurality of ink cartridges is accommodated in the second ink cartridge accommodating section.
