A tapping screw fastened to a subject member in which a thread portion formed in a shaft portion of the tapping screw is used to form a female screw thread in a prepared hole of the subject member. An angle of a thread ridge is approximately 30 degrees, a plurality of notches are formed in a top portion of the thread portion over a predetermined range of an entire length of the shaft portion, and a joint portion for connecting the top portion and a bottom portion of the thread portion is formed to have a circular arc shape in an area having a smaller diameter than a diameter of the prepared hole of the subject matter, as viewed in a cross section including a shaft center of the tapping screw.

A bolt is provided with a head part and a shank part. A water-proof grommet is provided which includes a plate-shaped head, a polygonal grommet body, and at least two latch pawls connected at lower ends to the grommet body and arranged on an outside surface of a substantially central portion of the grommet body. The head is substantially flat at a back surface thereof, and the latch pawls are provided at tip end portions with at least one inclined surface inclined outward and downward from the grommet body and at least one adjacent flat portion. The grommet body is adapted to expand radially as a screw is threaded therein, so as to cause an outer surface of the grommet body to deform the latch pawls radially outward and thereby cause at least one of the inclined surface and the adjacent flat portion of the latch pawls to press a member being mounted toward the back surface of the head.

A switching type hook is provided whose hook base can be made small-sized without degrading strength and durability. A stopper portion formed at an inner side of a lower end of a hook member is caused to contact directly with a side surface of a head of a bolt for fixing of the hook base so that a load applied to the hook member is born.

Aiming apparatus and process for manufacturing headlight using the same

A synthetic resin grommet is provided which has a substantially cylindrical body having a flange portion and a head portion. The flange portion has an inverted dish-like shape and includes an elastically deformable vane-like shaped rim portion. Stopping claws are arranged on an outer circumference of the cylindrical body such that tips of the claws face the flange portion, and an elastically compressible annular rib is formed on top of the head portion of the cylindrical body. An upper portion of the head portion has a tapered face, and the annular rib is formed above the tapered face. With this structure, an inexpensive synthetic resin grommet is provided which exhibits sealing facility when it is fitted to a body of a car or a home electric appliance and when a part is attached thereto through the grommet, and which accurately and securely prevents the entrance of water into the body without requiring intricate procedures such a fitting of a sealing annulus.

Disclosed is a nozzle for lubrication, which comprises a substantially oval metallic mounting plate having a bolt-inserting hole at one end of the mounting plate and a plug body-inserting hole with plural protruded pieces at the other end of the mounting plate. A plug body made of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic is insert-molded so that the protruded pieces of the plug body-inserting hole are embedded in a flange portion formed at a lower portion of the plug body and nozzle holes with different phases are at an upper portion of the plug body.

Nozzle for lubrication

A clamping member fastenable to a bolt, wherein the clamping member includes a bowl-shaped main body having a bolt-inserting opening formed through a bottom center portion thereof. A leaf spring clip is embedded integratedly in the bottom center portion of the bowl-shaped main body. The leaf spring clip includes a plurality of spring claws extending from a periphery of the bolt-inserting opening toward a center of the bolt-inserting opening in an oblique and upward direction. The plurality of spring claws are engagable with a bolt and fasten the clamping member to the bolt responsive to a direct pushing action of the main body of the clamping member over the bolt with the bolt passing through the bolt-inserting opening, without requiring any tools or rotating action of the clamping member relative to the bolt. The bolt has a thread thereon and the thread may have an upper surface portion formed into a convexly arched surface and a lower surface portion formed into a concavely arched surface, the thread being engagable with the plurality of spring claws such that the spring claws engage over the convexly arched upper surface portion of the thread of the bolt responsive to a direct pushing action of the main body of the clamping member over the bolt.

Fastening device with bowl-shaped main body portion and leaf spring clip

A holder for a window glass of a vehicle which has a reduced number of parts, which can make the mounting operation simpler, thereby lowering costs, and which can prevent the window glass from having play or loosening. The holder comprises a nut and a bolt. The nut has a female screw sleeve portion which is to be inserted with a clearance into a mounting hole formed in the window glass, and a holding plate member radially outwardly extending from the sleeve portion. The bolt has a screw shaft member to be screwed into the female screw sleeve portion, and a holding plate member radially outwardly extending from the screw shaft member. In addition, a cushion layer made of a synthetic thermoplastic resin elastomer is attached to the inside surface of each holding plate member. The cushion layer is provided at its inner circumferential edge with a short sleeve portion for protecting an edge of the mounting hole of the window glass.

Holder for a window glass of a vehicle

A holding device for use in assembling mechanical members comprises a joint head having a spherical head and a fastener formed continuous with the spherical head; and a clip having a joint cavity member formed of an elastic material, the joint cavity member having a groove portion having a cross-section corresponding in shape to an external shape of the spherical head, and receiving lip portions formed continuous with the groove portion, the receiving lip portions spreading outward, and a fastener formed continuous with the joint cavity member. The spherical head of the joint can be fitted in the groove portion to be held therein, whereby a member which is fastened to the fastener of the joint head and a member which is fastened to the fastener of the clip can be preliminarily held to each other. The invention provides the preliminarily-holding device for use in assembling mechanical members, which is capable of causing a part (e.g. a bumper of an automotive vehicle) having destortion in its formed shape to be preliminarily held onto a body (e.g. of the vehicle) having dimensional or positional errors in assembly, while absorbing deviations in the positional relationship between the part and body to be assembled.
