Disclosed is a migration communication control device constructed to control a continuous communication between a mobile node and a node unaffected the mobile node's migration. The migration communication control device comprises a first migration control unit, a second migration control unit on the mobile node, and a third migration control unit on the partner node. The first migration control unit comprises a packet transfer unit and an address post unit. The packet transfer unit receives a packet which was destined for an outdated address of the mobile node, generates a conversion packet which holds an updated address instead of the outdated address, and then transmits the conversion packet, while an address post unit transmits an address post message which indicates the updated address to the third migration control unit. The second migration control unit comprises a migration post unit and a packet resumption unit. The migration post unit transmits to the first migration control unit a migration post message which indicates the updated address when the mobile node migrates to another network while a packet resumption unit receives the conversion packet from both the first migration control unit and the third migration control unit and resumes an original packet from the conversion packet. The third migration control unit comprises a packet conversion unit which converts a destination address of a packet into the updated address, then transmits it to the mobile node.

Partner node migration control unit and method

A partner node and a method of communication control with a mobile node that is a communication partner with the partner mode is provided. The mobile node can provide a migration destination address, via a migration post massage transmitted from the mobile node, that can be acquired by an address acquiring unit at the partner node. A packet convert unit can, before the address acquire unit acquires a new migration destination address, generate a packet destined for a pre-migration address of the mobile node. After the address acquire unit acquires a migration destination address, the packet convert unit can generate a final packet configuration destined for the obtained migration destination address. Accordingly, a continuous communication between the corresponding partner node and the mobile node is maintained as the mobile node migrates across networks.

A terminal-side communications control unit makes a request to a server for retrieving an instruction file that describes an instruction for transmitting transmission data. The server transmits the instruction file in response to the request for retrieving the instruction file. On receiving the instruction file, the terminal-side communications control unit causes an application executing unit to execute an application, and also forwards the instruction file to a transmission data generating unit. On receiving the instruction file, the transmission data generating part refers to the instruction file to generate, from generated data stored in a generated data storage unit, transmission data to be transmitted to the server.

Communications system for retrieving instruction files from a server

In a content retrieval device, a browser section generates a retrieval request for sub-content data to be retrieved presently. A protocol control section determines which communication path between a first communication path or a second communication path should be used prior to the reception of the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section. If the protocol control section determines that the first communication path is to be used, a first communication control section receives the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section from a content server. If the protocol control section determines that the second communication path is to be used, a second communication control section receives the sub-content data from the content server. In this way, the content retrieval device can select a suitable connection method prior to the reception of data.

Content retrieval device

A partner node migration control unit that permits a communication control device, for example of the type carried by a user, to efficiently move across a network, whereby a mobile node can obtain an address assigned to each network and a partner node, which is a communication partner of the mobile node. The migration communication control device, including an address post message receiving unit receiving an address post message indicating the update address of the mobile node from a packet transfer migration control unit. In turn, the packet transfer migration control unit can transmit an updated address of the mobile node to the partner node. A packet conversion unit converts a destination address of the packet to be transmitted to the mobile node into an update address, indicated by the address post message.

A mobile node is provided having an address-obtaining unit that can obtain a temporary address that is assigned to the mobile node for each network to which the mobile node migrates. The temporary address is held an address hold unit and corresponds with a home address that has been set in advance. Additionally, an address post processing unit can post an address post message including the temporary address to a home migration host position control unit that manages addresses of the mobile node.

A home migration host position control device includes an address post processing unit that is capable of receiving an address post message from the mobile node when it migrates to a different network and is assigned a new temporary address. A home migration host list hold unit can store address information that correlates the temporary address with a home address that is contained in the address post message. A packet transfer unit that can, upon receiving a packet that is destined for the home address of the mobile node, transfer a capsulated packet that is generated by attaching to the received packet a header that indicates a destination address by a temporary address that is correlated with a home address according to address information that is stored in the home migration host list hold unit. The packet transfer unit when it receives from the mobile node a packet to which a header indicates a source address by a temporary address, can transfer a non-capsulated data packet that can be generated by removing the header from the received packet.

Mobile communication control device for servicing a mobile node

A mobile communication device that flexibly supports various services which utilize both Internet communications and short-distance wireless communications. An instruction data receiving section receives instruction data indicating a protocol in which a set of data exchanges are to be performed. An instruction data analysis section analyzes the received instruction data, and controls a reception switching section and a transmission switching section based on a result of the analysis. The reception switching section receives data from either an Internet reception section or a short-distance wireless reception section under the control of the instruction data analysis section. The transmission switching section outputs data to either an Internet transmission section or a short-distance wireless transmission section under the control of the instruction data analysis section.

Mobile communication device and data communication method using the same

In a mobile communication terminal device that obtains data including text or an image from an external server through a digital network, a display displays display data DD generated based on data in a first storage unit. A plurality of display modes are predetermined in a display mode switching unit. When instructed by a user while the display data is displayed on the display, the display mode switching unit switches the display mode according to a predetermined order. A display data generator generates the display data DD according to the next display mode. The display displays the display data DD generated by the display data generator. It is thus possible to provide a mobile communication terminal device capable of displaying data while switching among a plurality of display modes (character sets or image display forms) through simpler operation.

Terminal device for mobile communication

There is provided a communication system capable of reducing the burden of the terminal that is connected to the Internet via the communication network such as the mobile telephone network, whose security is ensured, and is used to carry out the electronic commerce and the banking service. An encryption communication request generating portion ( ) of a client system ( ) sends out a security request of a communication route to a gateway server unit ( ), an encryption communication controlling portion ( ) of the gateway server unit sets up encryption communication between a content server unit ( ) and the gateway server unit in response to this, the content server unit encrypts data to be transmitted to the client system and then transmits it to the gateway server unit, and an encryption communication controlling portion of the gateway server unit decrypts this data and transmits it to the client system. Encryption/decryption processing systems are not needed in the client system and thus the burden can be reduced.

Communication system and communication method

A mobile terminal is provided which can obtain an image from a server and change the size of the image so as to use the image as a background image. An image obtaining unit obtains an image from a server. An over-size decision unit decides whether the entirety of the image obtained by the image obtaining unit can be displayed within the display area in a screen. When the over-size decision unit provides a negative decision, an image resizing unit changes the size of the image obtained by the image obtaining unit so that it can be displayed within the display area in the screen.

Information terminal device

A radio pager system includes a radio pager that can receive messages and can specify a specific output mode, including a display, a sound output, a vibration, and a light emission appropriate to a particular type of message. The radio pager can further reduce difficulties in retransmitting and/or replying to messages and save time in the transmission period. The radio pager can receive and implement a radio message that includes control information which can be utilized for generating the specific output mode of the display.
