In order to provide a planar type multi-ion sensor which is easily thinned and has high measurement accuracy, a multi-ion sensoradapted to measure a concentration ratio of sodium ions to potassium ions in a sample solution, includes: a sodium ion electrodeselectively reacting to the sodium ions; a potassium ion electrodeselectively reacting to the potassium ions; and a common electrodein contrast with the sodium ion electrodeand the potassium ion electrode, wherein the sodium ion electrode, potassium ion electrodeand common electrodeare provided on the same support body, the common electrodedoes not include internal solution, and the concentration ratio of the sodium ions to the potassium ions is measured based on a variable A that is obtained by the following Equation (1), 

Multi-ion sensor

The electrode assembly is provided with: a rod-like bodythat extends along a predetermined axis; a substrate that is formed with a through-hole penetrating between a front surface and a back surface and attached to a fore end part of the body; and a sensor chip for electrochemical measurement, which is attached on the back surface of the substrate such that a sensing part is exposed outside from the through-hole, wherein: on the back surface of the substrate, a wiring for obtaining an output signal from the ISFET chip is formed, and the sensor chip is attached to the wiring directly or closely; and the substrate is attached with being inclined with respect to the predetermined axis of the body, and thereby the front surface of the substrate forms at least a part of a fore end surface that is inclined with respect to the predetermined axis.

Electrode assembly

An ion concentration measuring apparatus having a housing member with a measuring electrode assembly movably mounted within the housing member is provided. A calibration fluid reservoir is also mounted within the housing member. The measuring electrode assembly can be extended for a measuring mode of operation of retracted within the housing member and appropriately sealed so that it will contact the calibration fluid for a calibration operation.

Ion concentration measuring apparatus with internal calibration fluid

A remote monitoring system for instrumentation that is capable of measuring certain characteristics of a process such as a pH value includes an instrument for providing a measurement output signal which can be stored. A comparison circuit can compare the output signal with a predetermined value. A transmitter can transmit when the output signal exceeds the predetermined value, and a receiver can receive the output signal and convert it into a measured result. The instrumentation can be pulled from the receiver and the output signals can be encoded to identify a particular instrument with distinct transmission time periods available in a plurality of transmitting channels.

Remote monitoring system for instrumentation

An automatic calibrating apparatus for a measurement instrument having a sensor member includes a chamber adapted to hold the sensor member during a storage mode. A controller can respond to the presence of the sensor member and automatically wash the sensor member, and subsequently immerse it in a calibration solution. The output reading of the sensor member, along with the temperature, can then be utilized to calibrate the instrument. The sensor member can be subsequently cleansed with a washing fluid so that it is ready for immediate use.

Automatic calibrating apparatus for laboratory ion concentration meter

Pretreatment apparatus and process for analysis of sugar, the apparatus including a mechanical work hand which moves a vial containing a sample to various stations where reagents are added to the vial and where other pretreatment processes are performed on the sample. The pretreatment apparatus automatically controls the movement of the vial from one station to another and the various processes performed at each station, the processes including removal and storage of the vial's cap, addition of reagents into the vial, centrifugation and heating of the sample, and evaporation of excess reagents.

Pretreatment apparatus for analysis of sugar

A water measuring system for measuring different parameters of water having a compact configuration that can be easily calibrated is provided. A plurality of individual sensors, are mounted on the housing, including a dissolved oxygen measuring sensor that can be mounted at a position separate from the other sensors. A hood member can be mounted at the lower end of the housing member to protect the sensors. A container that is capable of holding a calibration liquid can be fitted onto the housing member to provide the liquid at a position that will only contact those sensors other than the oxygen measuring sensor during a single calibration procedure.

Water measuring system with improved calibration

A flow injection nonaqueous solvent neutralization titration process and system is provided. The predetermined quantity of a known titrant is used to derived calibration values based on different predetermined concentrations of a desired component in a sample. The quantity of the titrant agent in excess of an amount necessary to completely react with the sample is added and then subsequently the amount of the unreactant titrant agent is determined. From this value, the calibration values that have been stored, for example, in a look-up table can be used to determine the actual concentrations of the desired component in the sample. Alternatively, the sample can be mixed in a fluid carrier solution having a predetermined quantity of the titrant agent and then the resulting by-products of the reaction with the sample and the titrant can be inserted into a pH buffer solution so that the excess titrant will change the concentration ratio of the acids to bases and by measuring this change and comparing with the calibration values, the unknown concentration of the desired component in the sample can be discovered.
