Provided is a motor control device that includes a controller outputting a PWM control signal for controlling a multiphase electric motor, a driving signal generator generating a switching element driving signal for driving the multiphase electric motor according to the PWM control signal output from the controller, and a bridge circuit configured of a plurality of semiconductor switching elements switching a current flowing through the multiphase electric motor according to the switching element driving signal generated by the driving signal generator. The controller is provided on a first board. The driving signal generator and the bridge circuit are provided on a second board and are connected by wiring provided on the second board. The first board and the second board are connected by a predetermined inter-board connecting line. The controller outputs the PWM control signal to the driving signal generator through the predetermined inter-board connecting line.

Motor control device

An inductive load control device includes: an electric path configured to connect an external DC power supply and an inductive load drive unit; an opening and closing unit configured to connect or disconnect the electric path; a voltage detection unit configured to detect a voltage difference between ends of the opening and closing unit; and a failure detection unit configured to detect a failure of the opening and closing unit. The opening and closing unit includes: series-connected first and second switching elements; and a diode connected in series with the first switching element and in parallel with the second switching element such that an anode of the diode is disposed in a direction of the DC power supply. The failure detection unit is configured to detect that the second switching element is in a non-conduction failure, based on the voltage difference.

Inductive load control device

A motor driving device includes a failure detector detecting the failure of switching elements and diodes of an inverter circuit. When the failure detection unit detects a failure according to which a switching element of a phase C upper stage is not conducting, but does not detect a failure according to which the diode connected is not conducting, a motor is driven using the switching element paired with the faulty switching element and the switching elements of the other phase. When the failure detection unit detects the failure according to which the switching element of the phase C upper stage is not conducting, and detect the failure according to which the diode connected is not conducting, the switching element paired with the faulty switching element is maintained in an off state, and each of the switching elements of the other phase is on/off controlled.

Load driving device with failure detection

A motor control device has a motor driving circuit for driving a motor, a current detection circuit for detecting a motor current flowing through the motor driving circuit, and a controller for calculating a detected value of the motor current based on an output of the current detection circuit, comparing the detected value with a target value of the motor current, and generating a command value for allowing a motor current of the target value to flow through the motor based on a deviation therebetween, to output the command value to a motor driving circuit. The current detection circuit is configured of a first current detection circuit having a positive first gain and a second current detection circuit having a negative second gain obtained by inverting the first gain.

A motor drive device has an inverter circuit, in which at least three sets of a pair of upper and lower arms including a semiconductor switching element on an upper arm and a lower arm is arranged, for supplying voltage to a motor based on ON/OFF operation of each semiconductor switching element by a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal, an inverter drive unit for outputting the PWM signal to each semiconductor switching element of the inverter circuit, a fail safe circuit, arranged between the inverter circuit and the motor, including a semiconductor switching element for shielding the voltage supply from the inverter circuit to the motor for each phase, and a fail safe drive unit for outputting a signal for turning ON/OFF the semiconductor switching element of the fail safe circuit.
