A light irradiation device to display an image by light irradiation prevents easy perception of distortion occurring in the displayed image due to vibration of the device or movement of viewpoint. A random number is generated, and the refresh rate of the displayed image is distributed at random in correspondence with the random number. The light emission intensity is changed in correspondence with the refresh rate. When the number of lines is changed, the input video signal is subjected to scaling and a display is produced. The refresh rate is changed in correspondence with the frequency of the vibration detected with the vibration monitor.

Light irradiation device

In the microscope observation container according to the present invention, an observed sample is accommodated by an objective lens barrel provided with a housing extending along the radiation direction of excitation light and an objective lens fixed to an inside surface of the housing. The microscope observation container is provided with a structure for collecting a liquid immersion medium added by dispensation, the structure having a portion contacted by the objective lens barrel during observation. During observation the aforementioned portion is contacted by the objective lens barrel, and the liquid immersion medium is thereby sealed by the objective lens barrel and the structure. The aforementioned portion also has an elastic force, and is deformed so as to conform to the housing of the objective lens by the contact.

Microscope observation container and observation device

With a microspectroscopy device provided with an objective lens with a high numerical aperture, a defocus arises from thermal drift, etc., necessitating auto-focusing. Conventional auto-focus based on through-focus image acquisition takes time, and thus, it cannot be applied to continuous measurement over a long time wherein high-speed sampling is carried out. The present invention addresses this problem by having a defocus-sensing beam that has either defocus or astigmatism fall incident on the objective lens. Since how the image of the spot of the beam for defocus sensing blurs differs depending on the orientation of the defocus, real-time detection of the amount and orientation of defocus becomes possible, and high-speed realtime auto-focus becomes possible.

Microspectroscopy device

A virtual image display device includes: an image projection device that projects an image light; a diverging element on which the image light emitted from the image projection device is incident, spreading the image light out over a range of a predetermined angle; and a light branching element that reflects the image light emitted from the diverging element, while transmitting the incident light from the surface other than the reflecting surface. The image light from the image projection device is formed into an image on the diverging element. A virtual image of the image formed on the diverging element is generated on an extension line in the opposite direction to the emission direction of the image light reflected from the light branching element. Further, an optical axis converting element is provided to convert the optical axis of the image light emitted from the image projection device, into a predetermined direction.

Virtual image display device

A scanning type projector two-dimensionally projecting a laser beam and generating an image according to the present invention comprises: a light source having a light intensity corresponding to a pixel of the image and emitting a laser beam having an elliptical beam; a collimator lens collimating a laser beam emitted from the light source without converting the same into focused light; a beam contracting/shaping element that reduces a luminous beam width in a predetermined direction of the laser beam emitted from the collimator lens; a condensing lens that converts a laser beam emitted from the beam contracting/shaping element into focused light corresponding to a projection distance; and a two-dimensional scanning unit configured to two-dimensionally scan and project a laser beam emitted from the condensing lens.
