The start timing of the pole position inference process of the linear motor installed vertically is delayed by a predetermined time after instruction of brake release. For example, from (1) increasing of the thrust instruction value of an ASR control system up to a predetermined value, (2) the movement (falling) distance of the moving part, or (3) the moving (falling) speed of the moving part, the release condition of the brake is detected and moreover after a predetermined time, the inference process of the pole position is started. The inference process of the pole position of a synchronous motor is fit to the release timing of a brake and a malfunction of the inference process and a runaway (falling in the vertical drive) of a moving part are prevented.

Control apparatus and method for linear synchronous motor

An elevator group control system for controlling multiple elevators cars each of which serves a plurality of floors includes a route preparation section which, at a time of assigning a hall call to one of the elevator cars, calculates a future trajectory for each of the elevator cars. The future trajectory for each elevator is for a case in which the hall call is assigned to the elevator car. A selecting unit which determines a selected one of the elevator cars to which the hall call is to be assigned using the calculated future trajectories.

Reference routes which guide the cage's trajectory into temporally equal interval condition are generated, and car assignment is executed to allow the cages to settle in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time.

An elevator group control system is provided which stably keeps cage's position in temporally equal interval condition over a long period of time. The present invention provides a system comprising: reference route generating means, which for each elevator, generates a reference route which the elevator should follow with respect to the time axis and position axis; and assignment means which selects an elevator for assignment to a generated hall call so as to make the actual trajectory of each elevator closer to its reference route. In order to control the position of a mobile body without using a position detector, a magnetic pole position of a rotor of a synchronous motor is estimated based on electrical quantities in relation to electric power supplied to the synchronous motor and then the mobile body position is estimated based on the estimated magnetic pole position.

Apparatus, method or system for controlling mobile body

An elevator in which the sheave diameter is reduced and the attendant lowering of the rope life and strength is suppressed to secure safety and reliability. To this end, a rope is used in which a plurality of element wires constituting the wire rope are each covered with resin material and the whole wire rope is covered with resin material, thereby reducing the wear due to slippage between the element wires and the wear due to contact with the sheave, which wear occurs when the rope is entrained around the sheave. When the elevator sheave diameter is reduced, a worried lowering of the rope life can be suppressed or the rope life can be improved. Thus, it is possible to achieve reduction of size and weight of equipment including motors and hoists, installation space saving for elevators, improved safety and reliability of the system by virtue of the increased rope life.

An elevator system in which a car travels upward and downward among a plurality of floors. The elevator system includes a first terminal having a wireless transmitting/receiving unit provided for at least one of the plurality of floors and a second terminal having a wireless transmitting/receiving unit associated with the car. An elevator system in which a car travels upward and downward among a plurality of floors includes an elevator control unit and terminals each having a wireless transmitting/receiving unit. The terminals are provided for the elevator control unit and for each of the floors. There is provided a vehicle operating system constituted of a vehicle and at least a charging apparatus, the system comprising means for enabling high-precision unmanned positioning, despite primarily vertical displacements of the vehicle due to changes in tire pressure or weight of a passenger or passengers, and hence enabling efficient, stable power feeding. The charging apparatus includes a power feeding unit, and a vehicle includes a power receiving unit for feeding power in a noncontact manner, which makes possible recharging without manual assistance. A C-shaped transformer and an I-shaped transformer are used for the power feeding unit and the power receiving unit, respectively, so that a magnetic flux induced therebetween can develop substantially in the horizontal direction, thereby feeding power stably despite changes in tire pressure and the like. Tire guides for guiding the vehicle to a power feeding position and a car stop are so used that when the vehicle comes in contact with the car stop, the power feeding unit and the power receiving unit will face each other in a correct position, thus enabling high-precision positioning at power feeding time.

The number of electrical wires in the car is reduced by radio communications between the operation panel and terminal. Furthermore, reliability and dependability of communications are improved because the operation panel and terminal communicate with each other at a comparatively short distance.

Elevator communications apparatus

In order to make it possible to transmit and receive information between terminals and to reduce the number of wires used for an elevator in a building in an elevator system by transmitting and receiving information through wireless transmission even if a very weak radio wave having a narrow communicable range is used, an elevator control unit, a car terminal and floor terminals are individually provided with short distance wireless transmitting/receiving units having a communicable range of nearly a 2-floor distance (5 to 6 m) using very weak radio waves. The radio waves are received and transmitted between the wireless transmitting/receiving units located within the communicable range to transmit information by a relaying method of sequentially transferring information from terminal to terminal until it reaches a final destination.

Elevator system having wireless transmitting/receiving units

An elevator capable of supplying electric power to accessory hall devices such as up/down elevator buttons and position indicators without requiring power supply lines between the cage and each hall. A drive battery which supplies electric power to hall devices provided in each hall and a receptor connected to the battery are provided on the hall. A feeder contactable with the respective receptors, a charging device that charges the battery via the feeder and receptor are provided on the top of the cage. When the charging voltage, for example, used in a hall of the floor drops below a predetermined voltage value, the cage stops automatically at the floor and the charger charges the drive battery in the hall of the floor via the receptors and feeder.
