A method for molding an in-mold coating product including a substrate and a coating formed on a surface of the substrate. A first mold including a fixed mold piece is closed to form a substrate cavity therein. The substrate cavity is charged with a resin to form the substrate with a seal projection formed near the parting line of the first mold. Then, a second mold, which uses the fixed mold piece of the first mold, is closed with the substrate arranged on the fixed mold piece to form a coating cavity therein. The second mold deforms the seal projection so that when a coating material is charged into the coating cavity, the coating material does not leak out toward the parting line of the second mold.

The method for producing it comprises a film-forming step of forming a film that has a print face and a deposition design face formed thereon, a shaping step of shaping the film, a first molding step of molding one of a transparent resin layer or a base layer thereon to give a first molded part, and a second molding step of forming the other of the transparent resin layer or the base layer on a surface of the first molded part where the film is provided.

A vehicle exterior component includes an unwoven fabric having a noise absorbing function and an additional layer attached to the unwoven fabric. The unwoven fabric includes main fibers and binder fibers. The melting point of the binder fibers is lower than that of the main fibers. The unwoven fabric further includes a mesh structure in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined and welded to each other. The mesh structure is obtained by pressing a fiber web in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined. The unwoven fabric is formed into a predetermined outer shape. The additional layer has a function other than the noise absorbing function.

A method of manufacturing a luster resin molding such as an automobile side molding or the like is disclosed. The luster resin molding has a molding body formed of luster synthetic resin and is elongated in a specific direction, and a positioning boss is formed integrally with the back surface of the molding body and erected substantially perpendicularly to the back surface of the molding body. A slide core for molding the positioning boss is moved to mold the positioning boss integrally with the molding body after synthetic resin injected in the longitudinal direction of the molding body has passed through a boss position where the positioning boss will be formed.
