The distance measurement system includes an emitter emitting light, a receiver having a pixel array at which are formed a plurality of pixels detecting light reflected from an object, a processor configured to calculate distance data relating to a distance to the object for each of the plurality of pixels based on a result of detection of the reflected light, and use the distance data to generate a distance image, and a vehicle information detector detecting vehicle information relating to behavior of the vehicle. The processor calculates the distance data a plurality of times based on results of detection of light reflected from the object in a plurality of different time periods. The processor converts coordinates of the distance data based on the vehicle information to correct positional deviation between the distance data on the pixel array and generates the distance image for an overlapping range of the distance data.

Distance measurement system

A signal recognizing apparatus detects a target traffic light from an image showing surroundings of a host vehicle and generates traffic light detecting information including a traffic light image. The apparatus recognizes a lighting state of the target traffic light and specifies a positional relationship between the host vehicle and the target traffic light on the basis of position information of the host vehicle and the traffic light detecting information, and determines a center of a lighting area corresponding to a lighting portion of the target traffic light in the traffic light image, and performs a predetermined conversion process on the traffic light image on the basis of the positional relationship in order to compare with the lighting pattern information, and recognizes the lighting state by comparing the center of the lighting area in a traffic light image with the lighting pattern information.

Signal recognizing apparatus

An illuminating apparatus includes an illuminance sensor mounted on a vehicle and configured to detect an illuminance outside the vehicle as a detected illuminance, a location sensor mounted on the vehicle and configured to detect a location of the vehicle as a detected location, and a controller configured to store one or more illuminance thresholds that are thresholds of the illuminance and monitor whether there is a crossover phenomenon that the detected illuminance crosses one of the one or more illuminance thresholds. The controller is configured to transmit crossing data, including information indicating the detected location when the crossover phenomenon occurs and information indicating the detected illuminance when the crossover phenomenon occurs, to a management apparatus outside the vehicle.

Illuminating apparatus and illuminance collection system

The controller is programmed to perform first control that controls a driving force distributor such as to decrease a distribution rate upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition that a frequency of at least one rotation fluctuation of an output member of the drive system, a main drive wheel and a sub drive wheel is within a predetermined area, compared with the distribution rate upon non-satisfaction of the predetermined condition.
