A straight tube LED lamp includes: a straight tube in which a plurality of light emitting diodes is housed; a first cap for forming a power feeding connection to the plurality of light emitting diodes, provided on one axial direction end side of the straight tube; and a second cap for grounding, provided on another axial direction end side of the straight tube. A first terminal for forming an electrical connection to a power feeding terminal of a first lamp socket is provided in the first cap. A second terminal for forming an electrical connection to a grounding terminal of a second lamp socket is provided in the second cap.

A dedicated power source for LED lamps capable of reliably detecting attachment of an LED lamp is provided. A dedicated power source has a DC power source portion, and includes a lighting circuit which receives power supplied from the DC power source portion and light-controls an LED lamp including an LED element and a detection resistor connected in parallel to the LED element and an attachment detecting portion for detecting attachment of the LED lamp based on a voltage level changing in accordance with attachment/detachment of the detection resistor by attachment/detachment of the LED lamp.

An LED light source lamp includes a housing configured to be attached to a lamp holder; an LED module provided in the housing; a drive circuit provided in the housing and configured to drive the LED module to cause the LED module to emit light; an LED installation plate on which the LED module is installed; a cover arranged to block an optical axis of the LED module and configured to transmit light emitted from the LED module; and a separation member configured to separate the drive circuit from a space between the LED module and the cover in the housing. The LED installation plate has a rear surface, opposite the surface on which the LED module is installed. The rear surface is configured to closely contact the lamp holder, and is a part of the housing.

An LED light source lamp has built-in drive circuits in a housing, and is used by being attached to a lamp holder. An LED installation plate is arranged, in a main space of the housing, on an attachment side to the lamp holder. An LED module on a surface, of the LED installation plate, opposite to the lamp holder, is a collection of LEDs driven by the drive circuit. A light diffusion member is arranged so as to block the optical axis of light emitted by each LED of the LED module. Here, the drive circuits are arranged in an outer peripheral space, between the LED module and the light diffusion member, so as not to block the optical axis of light emitted by each LED of the LED module.

The LED lighting device includes a lighting circuit unit, a current detecting unit, a voltage detecting unit, and a control unit. The lighting circuit unit is adapted in use to be connected to a lamp socket to be connected to a LED lamp, and is configured to provide an output voltage in the form of a DC voltage to the lamp socket in a manner to turn on the LED lamp. The current detecting unit is configured to detect an output current which is caused by the output voltage and is supplied from said lighting circuit unit to said lamp socket. The control unit is configured to perform constant-current control of control the lighting circuit unit in a manner to regulate the output voltage such that the output current is identical to a target value while keeping the output voltage not higher than a maximum-load voltage, when the output current detected by the current detecting unit is not less than a predetermined threshold value, and is configured to perform no-load control of controlling the lighting circuit unit in a manner to regulate the output voltage such that the output voltage is kept identical to a no-load voltage higher than the maximum-load voltage, when the output current detected by the current detecting unit is less than the predetermined threshold value.

A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp has an arc tube in a double-spiral configuration, the arc tube being formed by bending a glass tube around an axis of spiral up to both ends of the glass tube, and a holder that is made of resin and holds this arc tube. Electrodes, each being equipped with a filament coil, are sealed at respective ends of the glass tube. The holder is made up of a holding resin member with a cylindrical shape having a closed bottom and a resin cover in a cone shape, the holder including a circumferential wall and an end wall that is at the edge of the circumferential wall. A heat-dissipating plate is provided inside the holding resin member, at a position corresponding to where the filament coils within the glass tube are.

Compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp resistant to heat deformation

A bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp adopting an inexpensive and highly reliable electronic ballast is provided. A fluorescent arc tube, an electronic ballast, and a base are provided. The electronic ballast lights and drives the fluorescent arc tube, and the base provides a power to the electronic ballast. The electronic ballast has an inductor connected in series to the fluorescent arc tube, and at least two capacitors constituting a resonant circuit with the inductor and connected in parallel to the fluorescent arc tube. At least two capacitors are disposed on the surface of a printed board on the base side. At least two capacitors are disposed stepwise in such a manner that bodies thereof are not opposed to each other and the body with a larger capacitance is spaced further from the fluorescent arc tube.

Bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp

A light bulb type fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus includes a fluorescent light emitting tube; and an electronic lighting circuit for applying an electric current to the fluorescent light emitting tube. The electronic lighting circuit includes a pair of electrode filaments provided in the fluorescent light emitting tube, a capacitor connected parallel to the fluorescent light emitting tube, an inductor connected in series to one of the pair of electrode filaments, and at least one temperature negative characteristic resistance element connected parallel to at least one of the pair of electrode filaments. The at least one temperature negative characteristic resistance element has a resistance impedance, and the fluorescent light emitting tube is started based on a change in the resistance impedance of the at least one temperature negative characteristic resistance element.

A fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus includes a fluorescent light emitting tube; and an electronic lighting circuit for applying an electric current to the fluorescent light emitting tube. The electronic lighting circuit includes a pair of electrode filaments provided in the fluorescent light emitting tube, a pair of capacitors each connected in series to a respective one of the pair of electrode filaments and connected parallel to the fluorescent light emitting tube, and an inductor connected in series to one of the pair of electrode filaments.

Fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus

A high wattage self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes a fluorescent tube including a pair of electrodes inside, an electronic ballast circuit portion, an outer bulb, a resin case and a lamp base. (i) The outer bulb has an outer diameter of 60 mm to 70 mm, an outer diameter of a bottom portion of 50 mm to 58 mm, and a total length of 73 mm to 85 mm. (ii) The resin case has an outer diameter of 50 mm to 58 mm. (iii) The total length of the self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is not more than 148 mm. The fluorescent tube has a distance between the electrodes of 450 mm to 540 mm and an inner diameter of 8.0 mm to 10.0 mm, and is operated at a lamp current of not more than 220 mA. Thus, the self-ballasted fluorescent lamp can be compact so that the light fixture application ratio can be improved. Moreover, the self-ballasted fluorescent lamp has a lifetime as long as 6000 hours and a lamp efficiency as high as 66 lm, and the power consumption can be reduced.

The fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus of the present invention includes: a first serial connection including a first switching device and a second switching device which are connected to a power supply circuit; a second serial connection including a first inductor, a first capacitor and a fluorescent lamp which are connected between one terminal of the power supply circuit and an intermediate point of the first and the second switching devices; a third serial connection including a second inductor, a second capacitor and a third inductor which is electromagnetically coupled to the first inductor, the third serial connection supplying a control voltage to a control terminal of the first switching device or a control terminal of the second switching device; and a constant voltage device connected in parallel to the second capacitor. In the fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus, the constant voltage device supplies a positive control voltage and a negative control voltage to the control terminal, the positive control voltage is positive with respect to a cathode terminal corresponding to the control terminal, the negative control voltage is negative with respect to the cathode terminal, and an absolute value of the positive control voltage is larger than an absolute value of the negative control voltage.
