A management device includes a circuit. A control method according to the present disclosure includes: obtaining (receiving) position information (a danger warning signal) indicating a target position where a target object is present; determining whether the vehicle is driving autonomously or is being driven manually; when the vehicle is determined to be being driven manually, inspecting whether the target position is located within a predetermined region of a travel route of the vehicle based on the position information; when the target position is located within the predetermined region, changing the light transmission state of the headlight from a first state to a second state; and when the vehicle is determined to be driving autonomously and/or the target position is not located within the predetermined region, maintaining the light transmission state of the headlight.

The present invention relates to a television receiver for teletext for receiving a composite video signal having text information multiplex on a television video signal, and more particularly to a television receiver for teletext capable of displaying the television video signal and teletext screen simultaneously on the picture screen by superimposing or dividing the screen, and according to this television receiver for teletext, which comprises preprocessing means for issuing various preprocessing correction signals on the basis of the teletext signal extracted by the teletext signal receiving means, the preprocessing correction signal issued by the preprocessing means, and the teletext signal received by the teletext signal receiving means are combined and displayed on the picture screen, and thereby the boundary of the television video signal and teletext signal is clearer, so that the text of thetelet ext signal is easier to read.

Television receiver for teletext

A video signal processing circuit synthesizes a video signal and a graphic signal on the basis of a display switching control signal, inverts a synthesized signal on the time axis for each of a forward scanning period and a backward scanning period, and output a display signal. A speed modulating signal control circuit inverts the binarized display switching control signal on the time axis for each of the forward scanning period and the backward scanning period, expands the pulse width thereof, and feeds the display switching control signal to a speed modulating signal generating circuit. The speed modulating signal generating circuit subjects a display signal to first-order differentiation, inverts the polarity of a differentiated signal in the backward scanning signal, sets a portion, corresponding to the graphic signal, in the differentiated signal on the basis of the display switching control signal at a zero level, and generates a speed modulating signal.

Image display and horizontal speed modulator

A waveform display signal generating apparatus is provided in which a result of calculation processing of digital data in a CPU is visualized and is converted into a television video signal for display on a screen of a television receiver under production. The apparatus verifies digital data processing on a screen of a television receiver under production and provides a simplified verification system. A signal digitized at an A/D converter is digitally signal processed at a data processing circuit. The data under digital signal processing is supplied to a CPU through a CPU interface circuit, is calculated for converting into a graph and then the converted data is stored in a RAM in a form of a bit map data. The bit map data is converted into an analog signal at a D/A converter, is further converted into a television video signal at a television encoder and then is supplied from a video signal output terminal to a video circuit of a television receiver under production. Thus, a graph calculated at the CPU is displayed on the screen of the television receiver.

Waveform display signal generating apparatus

A recording/reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing input signals having left and right stereo sounds. The stereo audio components of television signals prior to recording are data compressed and multiplexed. Then the stereo components are recorded in two channels, a left channel and a right channel. In playback, the audio signals are retrieved by the control signal from audio sound tracks of the recording medium.

Multiple audio signal recording and reproducing apparatus

A scan converting apparatus receives an NTSC signal which is scan converted and which has a changed aspect ratio. The subtitle domain, which is vertically overscaned out of the screen and cannot be observed, is extracted and superimposed on the scan converted image. Scanning lines of a brightness output signal of a brightness/chrominance signal separator are interpolated at a scanning line interpolator and are converted to a system which has more scanning lines at a scanning line converter. An odd/even field discriminator prevents deterioration of the resolution of the subtitle letters which is caused by an interchange of the positions between two adjacent scanning lines when the subtitle is transferred to a different field. By stopping the writing of data to a field memory in the subtitle signal processor when a subtitle is transferred, a subtitle transfer can be accomplished even when there is no subtitle on the image.

Scan converting apparatus for transferring subtitles on a screen

A recording/reproducing method and its apparatus for recording and reproducing a plurality of different television signals, each consisting of a video component and an audio component. The recording/reproducing method includes selecting and delivering the video components of input television signals and extracting a control signal from each of the selected video component signals. From the control signal it is determined whether the selected video signal is to be recorded or played back. If the selected video signal is to be recorded, it will be recorded onto a specific pattern of recording tracks of a recording medium defined by the control signal. If the signal is to be played back, the control signal is extracted from the selected video signal to be reproduced and then, the video signal is reproduced according to the control signal. The stereo audio components of the television signals prior to recording are data compressed and multiplexed. Then the stereo components are recorded in two, left and right, channels. In playback, the audio signals are retrieved by the control signal from audio sound tracks of the recording medium.

Method and apparatus for selectively recording multiple television

A program table displaying apparatus includes a display controlling apparatus for displaying a program table for a plurality of programs in a table on a display. The table has a horizontal row with a channel number identifying a channel corresponding to one of the programs and a vertical row with a time number for the channel. The television program table is derived from a plurality teletext broadcasts. Also included is a program reserving apparatus for reserving a desired program by selecting one of the programs. A time comparing apparatus is further provided for comparing a current displayed time frame and the time number for the channel to determine if there is a corresponding program for the displayed time frame. Further provided is a minute information extracting device for extracting minute data corresponding to said corresponding program. A program title extracting apparatus is also included for extracting a program title corresponding to the corresponding program and a number of rows calculating apparatus is provided for calculating a number of rows from the minute data and the number of letters in the program title. Finally, a time frame determining apparatus is included for determining a corresponding time frame from the calculated number of rows.

Program table displaying apparatus

An I-axis phase pulse is allowed to be detected at the sampling point of a chrominance signal with a digitally-implemented circuit. A chrominance signal (sampling frequency f.sub.1) is subsampled by a frequency f.sub.2 (f.sub.1 /N) and subsampling pulses generated in N subsampling pulse generators 10 for N phases, the adjacent ones of the pulses being shifted by one clock (1/f.sub.1) with respect to one another. The subsampled chrominance signal is input to an I-axis determining circuit 17. The I-axis determining circuit operates to detect a maximum value M.sub.1 of a color burst signal (sampling frequency f.sub.1) and the data M.sub.2 after one clock and compare both of the values with each other. Based on the compared result, a selecting signal S.sub.4 is detected for selecting an I-axis phase pulse at the sampling point of the chrominance signal. A selecting circuit 18 selects, as an I-axis phase pulse S.sub.5, a proper one of the N sampling pulse for N phases based on the selecting signal and applies the I-axis phase pulse S.sub.5 to an (N+1)th subsampling circuit 19. The subsampling circuit 19 can provide an I-axis detected output S.sub.3 at the sampling point of the chrominance signal.

An image signal magnifying apparatus is provided with a subtitle processing circuit capable of automatically detecting subtitles and moving the detected subtitle to a lower portion of a picture screen of an image display unit, when an image signal of a movie or the like, displayed on a picture screen having an aspect ratio of 4 to 3, is magnified to a picture screen having an aspect ratio of 16 to 9. Improvement of image quality of the characters of the subtitles after magnification of the image and simplification of the subtitle processing operation are attained. An output of a subtitle processing circuit 6 and an output of a number-of-scanning-line conversion circuit 9 are combined by a combining circuit 8. The image signal magnified by the number-of-scanning-line conversion circuit 9 and a subtitle processing signal, which is not subjected to conversion of the number of scanning lines are combined, so that the image quality of the characters of the subtitle, in the case where the image is magnified, can be improved. Further, a control signal establishing circuit 7, for automatically generating control signals required for the subtitle processing operation is provided, so that simplification of the subtitle processing operation can be attained.

Apparatus for providing proper placement and sizing of subtitles given

Disclosed is a noise reduction circuit in which a YC-separated luminance signal and a YC-separated chromaticity signal are separately processed for noise reduction. In the noise reduction circuit, delay elements incorporated in a YC separation circuit are also used as delay elements in a contour correction circuit so as to attain the desired purpose of noise reduction in both the luminance signal and the chromaticity signal and also the desired purpose of contour correction. Thus, both the noise reduction and the contour correction can be achieved by the noise reduction circuit which is simple in structure and inexpensive.
