A liquid ejecting head includes a first drive circuit including a switching element that selects, from a plurality of drive elements, a drive element to which a drive signal for ejection of liquid through a nozzle is sent, a case defining a first accommodating portion that is a space accommodating the first drive circuit, and a first gas supply passage that is in communication with the first accommodating portion and through which gas is supplied to the first accommodating portion.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a recording head that ejects liquid; a pressurizing mechanism that supplies the liquid under pressure; a valve-mechanism provided between the pressurizing mechanism and the recording head, the valve-mechanism including a liquid storage chamber storing the liquid supplied under pressure, a pressure chamber that is provided closer to the recording head than to the liquid storage chamber and stores the liquid, and a valve body that moves in a valve opening direction according to a negative pressure in the pressure chamber to communicate the liquid storage chamber with the pressure chamber; and a pressure control section controlling a pressure of the liquid supplied from the pressurizing mechanism to the valve-mechanism. The pressure control section controls the pressure of the liquid that is supplied under pressure by the pressurizing mechanism to the liquid storage chamber, to move the valve body in the valve opening direction.

Liquid ejecting apparatus and maintenance method thereof

A liquid discharge device includes a channel member, a nozzle plate, a flexible film, a support, and a lid. The channel member has a storage chamber that stores liquid. The nozzle plate has a nozzle through which the liquid stored in the storage chamber is discharged. The flexible film forms part of walling of the storage chamber. The support has an opening that surrounds a space where the flexible film is exposed at a side of the flexible film opposite the storage chamber. The lid is configured to cover the flexible film across the space, and is bonded, by an adhesive, to a surface of the support. The support has a groove provided in the surface bonded to the lid. The adhesive is also disposed in the groove.

Liquid discharge device

A flow passage structure includes a flow passage member that constitutes a portion of a wall surface of a liquid storage chamber; a flexible film that is laminated on the flow passage member and constitutes a portion of the wall surface of the liquid storage chamber; a sealing body that is laminated on a side opposite to the flow passage member with the flexible film interposed therebetween and forms a space in which the flexible film is exposed; communication passages that are formed in a region around the liquid storage chamber in the sealing body and causes the space to communicate with an atmosphere in a case where the sealing body is seen in a plan view from a direction in which the flow passage member and the flexible film are laminated; and a support portion that supports the flexible film in the communication passage.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a back pressure control unit including a back pressure control element that has a first opening, a second opening, a first liquid flow channel that enables the first opening and the second opening to communicate with each other, and a valve body that controls the flow of liquid in the first liquid flow channel, and a housing that houses the back pressure control element and in which a liquid introduction opening that communicates with the first opening and a discharge channel that communicates with the second opening are formed, and a head unit including a third opening connected to the discharge channel of the back pressure control unit, a second liquid flow channel that communicates with the third opening, a first filter disposed in the second liquid flow channel, a pressure generation chamber, a nozzle, and a pressure generation element.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting head includes: a head body that includes, an ejection surface on which a nozzle that ejects a liquid is provided, an intermediate unit that is provided on an opposite side to the ejection surface and that enables the liquid to flow from a liquid accommodating unit to a flow channel within the head body, a guide channel that guides a portion of the liquid that has leaked from the intermediate unit, a connector that is provided on a first side surface among side surfaces of the head body, a discharge channel that is provided so as to communicate with the guide channel and that discharges the leaked portion of the liquid to a second side surface that is different from the first side surface, and a projecting portion that is provided in the discharge channel and that projects from a bottom surface of the discharge channel.

Nozzle rows that discharge the same liquids are disposed at locations symmetrical about a reference line. The flow path member includes a first flow path member, a second flow path member joined to the first flow path member, a filter retainer member that is joined to the second flow path member and that holds filters, a third flow path member that is joined to the filter retainer member. The liquid flow path includes first horizontal flow paths that are provided between the first flow path member and the second flow path member and that divide the liquid supplied from the liquid supply unit and buffer chambers provided on the first horizontal flow paths. Between the second flow path member and the filter retainer member, filter chambers are provided in regions that face the buffer chambers. The buffer chambers communicate with central portions of the filter chambers.

Head and liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting head includes a first case that houses a flow path member that is provided with a liquid flow path, a second case that includes a head unit, a seal member that includes a connecting portion that seals and liquid-tightly connects the liquid flow path on a first case side and a liquid flow path on a second case side. The liquid ejecting head ejects a liquid supplied from the flow path member from a nozzle of the head unit. A flow path-isolating member having higher gas barrier property than the seal member is disposed between the first case and the seal member. The flow path member is disposed in a sealed space that is defined in the first case by a flow path-isolating member being joined to the first case.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a first transport roller, and a second transport roller which transports a medium; and a liquid ejecting head which includes a plurality of nozzle openings, and ejects liquid toward the medium which is transported, a pressure generation unit which causes a change in pressure in liquid in a flow path, and a wiring board of which one face is arranged so as to face a direction in which the liquid is ejected, and is electrically connected to the pressure generation unit, in which the wiring board is arranged between the first transport roller and the second transport roller, and is arranged at a position at which the wiring board does not overlap with the first transport roller and the second transport roller and the first transport roller or the second transport roller is arranged at a position at which the roller overlaps with the liquid ejecting head.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head and that includes nozzle openings through which liquid is ejected. A positioning abutting unit is arranged on an outer side of a region in which a plurality of the nozzle openings are formed. A cap main body is arranged so as to relatively move with respect to the liquid ejecting head. The cap main body has a side wall. A sealing member is accommodated inside the cap main body, comes into contact with the positioning abutting unit in a state of surrounding the region due to the relative movement of the liquid ejecting head and the cap main body, and forms a sealed space inside of the cap main body.

A flow path member includes a cover divided into a base unit and a cover unit. Flow path grooves are provided on one side of faces of the cover unit and the base unit which face each other. The flow path grooves extend in a first direction and are aligned in a second direction. An elastic sealing member is arranged between the facing faces and configures a part of a flow path wall face by covering the flow path grooves. An abutting unit is provided on one side of the base unit and the cover unit, protrudes toward the other side, and comes into contact with the other side. The abutting unit may be provided on both sides of the flow path groove in any one direction and may be extended along the other direction. The base unit and the cover unit may be fixed using a fastening member.

A flow path member includes a first space which is opened by a first liquid flow path, and into which liquid flows from the first liquid flow path; a second space which is opened by a second liquid flow path on a bottom surface at the opposite side to the first space, and out of which liquid flows from the second liquid flow path; a filter which filters liquid passing therethrough, and which is included between the first space and the second space; and a support which protrudes from the bottom surface of the second space toward the filter side, in which the support is a point-form projection.

A liquid ejecting head includes an introduction port which introduces first liquid; a flow path which communicates with the introduction port; a filter unit which is provided in the middle of the flow path, and includes a filter, a first filter support member which supports the filter from an upstream side, and a second filter support member which supports the filter from a downstream side; and a plurality of nozzle columns which eject the first liquid, in which the second filter support member configures one downstream filtering chamber which has a base on the downstream side of the filter, includes a plurality of communication holes on the base, includes branching flow paths which cause the first liquid in the downstream filtering chamber to branch off through the plurality of communication holes, and these branching flow paths respectively communicate with the plurality of nozzle columns.
