An X-ray generation device includes an electron gun emitting an electron beam, an X-ray generation target including a plurality of target parts generating X-rays in response to incidence of the electron beam from the electron gun, and an irradiation area switching unit switching an area of the X-ray generation target irradiated with the electron beam between a first irradiation area and a second irradiation area. The number of target parts included in the first irradiation area is larger than the number of target parts included in the second irradiation area. An area of the target parts included in the first irradiation area is larger than an area of the target parts included in the second irradiation area.

X-ray generation device and X-ray imaging system

An X-ray generation device includes: an electron gun that emits an electron beam; a target portion in which a plurality of elongated targets that generate an X-ray because of incidence of the electron beam are disposed parallel to each other; a housing that accommodates the electron gun and the target portion; and an X-ray emission window provided in the housing to emit the X-ray generated in the target portion, to an outside of the housing. The targets are disposed on the target portion to face the electron gun at a predetermined inclination angle with respect to an emission axis of the electron beam. The X-ray emission window is disposed at a position where the X-ray generated in a direction perpendicular to the target portion is transmittable through the X-ray emission window, to face the target portion at a predetermined inclination angle.

Further, a production method for a metal grid includes: a step of bending a principal surface of a valve metal plate including the principal surface; a step of forming an anodic oxide film on the principal surface of the valve metal plate; and a step of forming a lattice structure with a periodic uneven shape on the anodic oxide film by forming an etching mask with a periodic opening on a surface of the anodic oxide film and etching the anodic oxide film through the opening.

A metal grid includes: a member which includes a curved principal surface; an anodic oxide film which is formed on the principal surface of the member, and a lattice structure which has an uneven shape periodically formed on the anodic oxide film. A production method for a metal grid includes: a step of forming a valve metal film on a principal surface of a member, a step of forming an anodic oxide film by performing an anodic oxidation treatment on the valve metal film while the principal surface is curved; and a step of forming a lattice structure with a periodic uneven shape on the anodic oxide film by forming an etching mask with a periodic opening on a surface of the anodic oxide film and etching the anodic oxide film through the opening.

The present invention discloses an X-ray source comprising an X-ray source including a high-voltage applying part for generating an X-ray projecting from a bulb part; a power supply including an insulating block molding therein a voltage generating part for supplying a voltage to the high-voltage applying part; and a metallic tubular member accommodating the bulb part and securing the X-ray tube. The metallic tubular member is secured to the outside of the insulating block. The metallic tubular member encapsulates therein an insulating liquid material for the bulb part to be dipped therein.

The present invention discloses an X-ray source comprising an X-ray tube including a target generating an X-ray in response to an electron beam incident thereon emitted from an electron gun and an X-ray exit window emitting thus generated X-ray; a power supply having a structure including an insulating block molding therein a voltage generating part supplying a voltage to the X-ray tube; a first planar member securing the X-ray tube while being arranged on one side of the insulating block; and a second planar member disposed on a side of the insulating block opposite from the first planar member. The first and second planar members are fastened to each other while holding the insulating block therebetween.

The voltage applied to a first grid electrode of an X-ray tube by a grid voltage control section is controlled with reference to a predetermined negative voltage from a negative voltage generating section when an object to be inspected does not exist in an imaging area (irradiation area of an X-ray from an X-ray source ) so that the pulse outputted from a pulse generator is in its OFF state, and is controlled with reference to a reference positive voltage from a reference voltage generating section when the object to be inspected exists in the imaging area in the X-ray image intensifier (irradiation area of the X-ray from the X-ray source ) so that the pulse outputted from the pulse generator is in its ON state, whereby both of the cutoff voltage and grid operating voltage are applied in a stable state.

X-ray generating apparatus, X-ray imaging apparatus, and X-ray inspection system

This invention aims at providing an X-ray apparatus having a stable X-ray output. Since the focus electrode of the X-ray tube of the X-ray apparatus according to this invention maintains a ground potential, the focus diameter of electrons bombarded against a target becomes constant. Hence, the X-ray output emerging from an exit window is stabilized. Since the potential ratio of a cathode to the target is always constant, the electric field distribution between the cathode and the target is stabilized, thereby stabilizing the X-ray output emerging from the exit window.
