To provide a liquid composition containing a fluoropolymer having sulfonic acid functional groups, which rarely corrodes a metal and has good handling efficiency, which liquid composition comprises a fluoropolymer having sulfonic acid functional groups and a solvent, wherein the solvent contains a polyhydric alcohol and a monohydric alcohol. The content of the fluoropolymer is preferably from 5 to 50 mass % in the liquid composition (100 mass %), and the content of the polyhydric alcohol is preferably from 5 to 50 mass % in the solvent (100 mass %).

Liquid composition

The present invention provides a fluorinated polymer excellent in the crosslinking reactivity, crosslinked rubber physical properties and chemical resistance, and its crosslinked rubber. A fluorinated polymer comprising repeating units (a) based on at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of ethylenic unsaturated compounds each having a hydroxyphenyl group, repeating units (b) based on at least one fluoromonomer selected from the group consisting of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene fluoride, 3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, 1,1,2-trifluoroethylene, vinyl fluoride, 1,2-difluoroethylene and CF&#x2550;CF&#x2014;O&#x2014;R(wherein Ris a Csaturated perfluoroalkyl group or a perfluoro(alkoxyalkyl) group) and, if necessary, repeating units (c) based on at least one hydrocarbon monomer selected from the group consisting of ethylene, propylene and CH&#x2550;CH&#x2014;O&#x2014;R.

Fluorinated polymer

An elastic fluorocopolymer comprises repeating units (l) based on a fluoromonomer such as tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene fluoride or CF&#x2550;CF&#x2014;O&#x2014;R(wherein Ris a Csaturated perfluoroalkyl group or a perfluoro(alkoxyalkyl) group) and repeating units (m) based on the formula CRR&#x2550;CRCOOCH&#x2550;CH(wherein each of Rand Ris a hydrogen atom, a Calkyl group or a Calkoxyalkyl group containing an etheric oxygen atom, and Ris a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom or a methyl group) in a molar ratio of (m)/((l)+(n))=0.0001 to 0.1. Further, an elastic fluorocopolymer composition comprises (A) the above elastic fluorocopolymer, (B) an unsaturated multifunctional compound and (C) a bivalent metal oxide and/or hydroxide. The elastic fluorocopolymer and the elastic fluorocopolymer composition are excellent in the crosslinkability and can provide a crosslinked rubber thereof excellent in crosslinked rubber properties.

To provide a method for producing a melt-processable fluororesin, which is capable of increasing the molecular weight of the fluororesin and preventing coloration of the fluororesin, by using a specific fluorinated emulsifier other than ammonium perfluorooctanoate. A method for producing a melt-processable fluororesin which is characterized in that a fluorinated monomer is emulsion-polymerized in an aqueous medium containing a fluorinated emulsifier of a formula (I) XCFCF(O)CFCFOCFCOOA wherein X is a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, A is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or NH, and m is an integer of 0 or 1.

Method for producing melt-processable fluororesin

To provide an aqueous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) emulsion which does not substantially contain ammonium perfluorooctanoate, and which is obtained by emulsion polymerization. Further, to provide a PTFE fine powder which is obtained from the aqueous PTFE emulsion and is excellent in a paste extrusion processability, and a porous material. An aqueous polytetrafluoroethylene emulsion obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene alone or together with another copolymerizable monomer in an aqueous medium, wherein a fluorinated emulsifier of the formula (1): CFCF(O)mCFCFOCFCOOA wherein X is a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, A is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or NH4, and m is an integer of 0 or i, is used in an amount of from 1,500 to 20,000 ppm, based on the final yield of polytetrafluoroethylene.

Aqueous polytetrafluoroethylene emulsion, polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder and porous material obtained therefrom

Provided is a process for producing an aqueous fluorinated polymer dispersion having a reduced content of a fluorinated emulsifier by using a weakly basic anion-exchange resin to adsorb and remove a fluorinated emulsifier with excellent efficiency from an aqueous fluorinated polymer dispersion. Also provided is a process for producing an aqueous fluorinated polymer dispersion having a reduced content of a fluorinated emulsifier, wherein the process includes: adding an organic carboxylic acid represented by the following formula (1):Q(CH)(CH(OH))COOH&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein Q is H, CHor COOH, m and n each independently represent 0 or an integer of from 1 to 4, and 4&#x2267;n+m&#x2267;1, to an aqueous fluorinated polymer dispersion containing a fluorinated emulsifier; and then contacting with a weakly basic anion-exchange resin to adsorb and remove the fluorinated emulsifier.

Process for producing aqueous fluorinated polymer dispersion having reduced content of fluorinated emulsifier

The present invention provides an ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer composition having a high melt flowability while maintaining satisfactory mechanical properties in the obtainable molded product are maintained. The ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer composition (C) has a melt viscosity of from 80 to 500 Pa&#xb7;s, preferably from 100 to 300 Pa&#xb7;s and a tensile elongation of from 200 to 500%, preferably from 350 to 450%. The copolymer composition (C) is may be obtained by melt kneading an ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (A) having a low melt viscosity of from 60 to 400 Pa&#xb7;s, preferably from 80 to 300 Pa&#xb7;s and an ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (B) having a melt viscosity higher than this i.e. from 600 to 10,000 Pa&#xb7;s, preferably from 1,000 to 7,000 Pa&#xb7;s in a mass ratio of (A)/(B)=50/50 to 99/1, preferably (A)/(B)=60/40 to 97/3.

An aqueous solution containing a fluorine-containing emulsifier in a low concentration of at least 1 ppm by mass and at most 1% by mass (e.g., coagulation waste water after an emulsion polymerization of a fluoropolymer and/or an aqueous solution obtained by washing with an aqueous solution a waste gas from a drying process and/or a heat treating process of the fluoropolymer) is subjected to vacuum concentration under a pressure of at most 100 kPa and a temperature of the aqueous solution of at most 100&#xb0; C. by means of a heating tube surface evaporation type concentrator equipped with a heat pump or the like, and the fluorine-containing emulsifier is recovered from a highly concentrated aqueous solution containing the fluorine-containing emulsifier in a higher concentration of at least 5% by mass. According to the present method, the fluorine-containing emulsifier can be recovered with a high yield from a low-concentration liquid such as coagulation waste water of a fluoropolymer.
