A temperature distribution control system for a fuel cell provided with a cell stack including a power generation unit that generates power by causing, in a fuel battery cell formed of a laminate of an air electrode, a solid electrolyte, and a fuel electrode, an oxidizing gas flowing on the air electrode side and a fuel gas flowing on the fuel electrode side to react with each other. The temperature distribution control system is provided with a temperature measurement unit which measures the temperature of a fuel gas supply part in the power generation unit; and a control unit which, on the basis of the result of measurement performed by the temperature measurement unit, controls the temperature of the fuel gas supply part to within an appropriate temperature range set in advance, thereby controlling a temperature distribution state in a fuel gas flow direction in the power generation unit.

Electro-optic waveguide device and optical module

Provided is an optical transmission module which can generate PAM4 optical modulation signals without converting a plurality of binary electric signals to a multi-level electric signal. An optical transmission module () comprising: a light source () for emitting continuous waveform (CW) light; optical modulators () arranged in series with a path of the CW light configured to modulate the CW light by switching relatively large absorption and relatively small absorption of the optical modulators in response to a modulation signal applied to the respective optical modulators; and an arithmetic logic circuit () configured to receive a plurality of binary electrical signals, and then to perform logic operation on the plurality of binary electrical signals for generating a new plurality of binary electrical signals, wherein each of the new plurality of binary electrical signals is applied to the respective optical modulators as the modulation signal.

Optical transmission module

The invention provides an optical module which is less likely to be damaged, and can be assembled at low cost. The optical module comprises a housing having an electrical signal port for inputting and/or outputting an electrical signal and an optical signal port for inputting and/or outputting an optical signal, a first substrate arranged in the housing so as to connect to the electrical signal port, an optical fiber arranged in the housing so as to connect to the optical signal port, and a second substrate provided with an optical device which connects to the optical fiber to input the optical signal from the optical fiber and output the optical signal to the optical fiber, and arranged in the housing so as to electrically connect to the first substrate, and to be inclined with respect to a base plane of the housing.

Optical module

The optical module includes a housing having a first opening for inputting or outputting a first electric signal, a second opening for inputting or outputting a second electric signal, and an optical signal port, one or more substrates disposed in the housing, to/from which the first electric signal is input/output and to/from which the second electric signal is input/output, an optical subassembly disposed in the housing and optically connected to the optical signal port, and a control circuit disposed in the housing and mounted on the substrate for controlling the optical subassembly, wherein the first electric signal is an electric signal input to or output from the optical subassembly, the second electric signal is an electric signal input to or output from the control circuit, and the second opening is provided on one side different from other side of the housing on which the first opening is provided.

Optical module and transmission device

Multilevel optical intensity modulation high in accuracy is performed using electro-absorption optical modulators. There is provided a plurality of EA modulators connected in series in a path of an optical signal from a light source, and a multilevel-coded modulated optical signal is generated by modulating an intensity of an input optical signal from the light source based on a modulation signal using the EA modulators. Each of the EA modulators is switched between an ON state and an OFF state of optical absorption in accordance with the modulation signal. Regarding an extinction ratio of the ON state to the OFF state in each of the EA modulators, the EA modulators have respective values difference from each other, and are arranged in ascending order of the extinction ratio from the light source side.
