A client for IPv4 having a SIP function sends a first REGISTER message to an adapter. Then, the adapter executes an authentication sequence of EAP-AKA for an access gateway connected between an IMS/MMD network and an IPv4 network, then establishes a tunnel connection. Then, the adapter generates a second REGISTER message corresponding to IPv6 based on the first REGISTER message corresponding to IPv4. The adapter sends the second REGISTER message to a SIP server connected to the IMS/MMD network through the tunnel connection to the access gateway.

A method for controlling routes in a network which is temporarily formed among a plurality of nodes. The method includes the steps of broadcasting a discovery demand of a destination node; receiving a first reply from the destination node with respect to the discovery demand; referring a joint count contained in the first reply and registering the joint count in a node which received the reply; adding 1 to the joint count if there is a plurality of nodes forming a plurality of links to which the reply is transferred, and transmitting the reply to each of the links, and selecting one of the links having a smaller registered joint count as a route if there is a plurality of links through which the data is transmitted to the destination node.

A path extending from the present location S of a mobile terminal to a destination D via a base station is calculated (S), distances between base stations on the calculated path and the present location are calculated, and the closest base station is determined as a contents delivery base station (S). Grace time for the mobile terminal to pass through the contents delivery base station is calculated. Then, scheduled time to deliver the contents to the mobile terminal is calculated (S). A polling period controlling apparatus capable of polling with a period traceable temporal variations of management information values of a managed unit is provided with a polling period calculator which decomposes a sequence of management information values, stored in the sequence memory , into the sum of sinusoids with different frequencies to find the maximum frequency and determines the polling period from an inverse of two times the largest frequency. A central controller then compares between the required bandwidth specified by the polling period and a network management bandwidth and, when the former is smaller than the latter, obtains the management information value from the managed unit using the polling period. When the former is greater, the central controller obtains the management information value using the polling period determined from the network management bandwidth. The management information value obtained is saved in the sequence memory while the oldest group of management data is eliminated.

After a pre-process to the naming tree which is an object of access control, MOI included within every scope which can be designated by the management operation is obtained.
