The transition of a use resource amount is predicted from the transition of a transaction occurrence amount for each module by using a function that expresses a correlation between a past transaction processing amount and a past use resource amount in a data processing system. After this, an allocation resource amount for each module is automatically fluctuated in accordance with the transition of the predicted use resource amount.

An information mediating apparatus has: a mediating condition file in which mediating condition list data describing specific mediating conditions has been stored; and a personal information file in which personal information peculiar to a person, a group, or the like has been stored. An ISDN interface unit interconnects a data processing unit, an ISDN, and an analog telephone and comprises a DMA request signal generation circuit for generating a DMA request signal from an 8 kHz clock signal from an ISDN line.
