A transmission includes a case having an internal space; a first partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between a first chamber which is arranged in the case and houses a rotating object, and a second chamber which is arranged in the case, is connected to the first chamber, and maintains equal pressure between the first chamber and outside air; a second partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between the second chamber and a third chamber which is arranged in the case and stores fluid below the second chamber; and a third partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between the first chamber and the third chamber. A first hole and a second hole are formed in that order from the first chamber side in the second partition wall.

Transmission

An automatic transmission includes: a differential mechanism which includes a ring gear; a case which forms a differential chamber that houses the differential mechanism; and an oil pan which is fitted to the case, and which stores oil. The differential chamber includes a first space in which the oil supplied from the oil pan is gathered, and a second space which is formed on the opposite side of the first space with respect to the ring gear in the direction in which the rotational axis of the ring gear extends, and which is communicated with a space inside the oil pan. An oil passage, through which the oil is introduced from the first space to the second space, is formed in the case. The oil passage is formed in a bottom portion of the differential chamber.

Transmission for vehicle

A power transmission device that can have deformation in processing suppressed. A spiral gear as a rotation member includes a disk section extending radially outwards from a boss section. The disk section includes a through hole in slit form through laser processing.

Power transmission device and method of producing the same

In a continuously variable transmission, a hydraulic actuator for axially moving a movable sheave has an outer cylinder which includes a radial portion extending radially from a boss on the stationary sheave. A bearing is disposed abutting the surface of the radial portion. The inner race of the bearing has a large diameter so that the inner race contacts at least a predetermined area of the surface of the radial portion, preferably, the entire area of that surface. One side of the inner race has a recess in which a nut for axially fixing the outer cylinder, the bearing and the like is disposed, thereby reducing the axial dimension of the continuously variable transmission.
