A backup power supply system is designed to supply, when a power supply has caused a failure, power from a first electrical storage device to a plurality of loads. The plurality of loads includes a first load and a second load. The first load is connected to a first power supply line. The backup power supply system includes a backflow prevention switch provided between the first load and the second load on the first power supply line and making the first power supply line electrically conductive or non-conductive by turning ON and OFF. The backflow prevention switch includes an internal diode having an anode connected to one side including the first load and a cathode connected to the other side including the second load.

Power supply device includes transistor block, gate drive circuit block, and driver block. First gate terminal and second gate terminal are disposed on the same side as gate drive circuit block when viewed from a center of transistor block. A backup power supply control system includes: a first semiconductor switch that switches a main power supply line to an electrically conductive state or an electrically non-conductive state; and an auxiliary power supply switch that switches an auxiliary power supply line to the electrically conductive state or the electrically non-conductive state. A first driving unit controls, in a non-failure state, a second semiconductor switch, connected between a gate and source of a first semiconductor switch, OFF and thereby controls the first semiconductor switch ON. The first driving unit ensures, in the failure state, at least a gate-plateau voltage of the first semiconductor switch as a drive voltage for the second semiconductor switch. When a failure detection unit detects the failure state, the first driving unit controls the first semiconductor switch OFF by controlling the second semiconductor switch ON and a second driving unit controls the auxiliary power supply switch ON.

A switch circuit is configured of a first semiconductor element and a second semiconductor element connected in series, and receives a DC voltage of 100 V or more. The drive circuit causes the first semiconductor element or the second semiconductor element to perform a switching operation. The isolated power supply circuit converts a predetermined power supply voltage into an isolated first power supply voltage, and outputs the first power supply voltage to the drive circuit. The isolation signal converter converts a first signal of 6 MHz or more into an isolated first drive signal, and outputs the first drive signal to the drive circuit. The single substrate mounts the isolated power supply circuit and the isolation signal converter. Both the first semiconductor element and the second semiconductor element are wide bandgap semiconductor elements.

Class-D power converter

The semiconductor module includes: a heat dissipation board including first to third wiring patterns; a first metal plate on the first wiring pattern, a second metal plate on the second wiring pattern, a first semiconductor chip and a first intermediate board which are on the first metal plate, a second semiconductor chip and a second intermediate board which are on the second metal plate. A first metal film on the first intermediate board is electrically connected to the first semiconductor chip and the second metal plate, and a second metal film on the second intermediate board is electrically connected to the second semiconductor chip and the third wiring pattern.

There are provided an inductive load current control circuit for detecting and controlling a current flowing to an inductive load with high accuracy, and a power supply. The inductive load current control circuit includes first and second switch elements connected in series between an input voltage and a ground potential, an inductive load connected to a connection point between the first and second switch elements, a third switch element having one terminal connected to the connection point between the first and second switch elements, a current comparator connected to another terminal of the third switch element to compare an output current of the third switch element with a reference current, decide and output a magnitude relation, and a switch element control circuit that controls transition from a state in which the second switch element is turned on to a state in which the first switch element is turned on according to an output of the current comparator.

Power supply

The present invention is intended to provide a DC-DC converter, in which the relationship between the duty ratio of a drive signal and the output DC voltage is nonlinear, being characterized in that the relationship between an error signal and the output DC voltage is linear, and that the design of stabilizing the feedback system is facilitated. The DC-DC converter comprises an error-amplifier circuit for generating the error signal that is obtained by amplifying the error between the output and a target value, an oscillating circuit for generating a triangular wave signal having an amplitude corresponding to the error signal, and a comparison circuit for comparing the triangular wave signal with a reference signal having a predetermined value and for generating the drive signal to turn ON/OFF a switching device.

DC-DC converter and control circuit thereof

For downsizing a charge pump circuit which selects a voltage multiple ratio, converts its input voltage and outputs the converted voltage, the number of switching devices of the charge pump circuit is reduced. The control circuit of the charge pump circuit is configured to carry out switching control for multiple switching devices and charge/discharge at least a first capacitor and a second capacitor so as to have at least a 2Vi mode for alternately repeating a first state and a second state, and a 1.5Vi mode for alternately repeating a third state and a fourth state, thereby carrying out boosting depending on the detected input voltage.

Charge pump circuit

A step-up converter includes an inductor which receives input voltage Vi at one end, a first FET of the first conduction type which functions as a switch for determining whether or not energy is accumulated in the inductor, a second FET of the second conduction type which rectifies a current output from the other end of the inductor, an output capacitor having an end connected to the source of the second FET, a current detection circuit, and a feedback control circuit. The current detection circuit detects a current flowing through the first N-channel FET to output current detection signal Vc. The feedback control circuit controls the operations of the first N-channel FET and a P-channel FET based on current detection signal Vc.

Step-up converter

In a DC-DC converter conforming to the current mode control system, in which the valley value of an inductor current is controlled for output control, a current detection circuitis configured to detect the current flowing from a low-side FETto an inductorusing an FET, an NPN transistor, an NPN transistor, a PNP transistor, a PNP transistorand a resistor, to detect the current flowing from the inductorto the low-side FETusing an FET, a differential amplifier, an FETand the resistor, and to output a current detection signal Vc.

DC-DC converter

An output detection feedback section () for controlling the power supply output voltage of a converter unit () in response to an error signal Ve has an error amplifier () for outputting the error signal Ve, a phase compensation circuit (), a state detection circuit (), and a response compensation circuit () for setting the voltage of a capacitor () of the phase compensation circuit () to a predetermined value. When output voltage is switched, the output voltage is fixed at the predetermined value in a DC manner while a transitional response of the error signal (Ve) is accelerated, so that the output voltage is changed at a high speed to a desired value and the overshoot and undershoot are suppressed around the desired value.

A bypass control section () maintains a bypass switch () in the ON state during the period when a battery voltage (Vi) is higher than the output voltage (Vo) to an external load (L). Upon falling of the output voltage (Vo) at a desired voltage (ET), a converter control section () starts switching control at once, and a step-up chopper () promptly starts boost operation. The bypass control section () maintains the bypass switch () in the ON state from the start of the boost operation of the step-up chopper () until the match between the battery voltage (Vi) and the output voltage (Vo).

A power supply switching regulator including a common terminal; an input terminal for supplying a direct current input; an output terminal; a recirculating diode having a first terminal connected to the common terminal; an inductor having a first terminal connected to a second terminal of the recirculation diode and a second terminal connected to the output terminal; a capacitor having a first terminal connected to the output terminal and a second terminal connected to the common terminal; a switch connected between the input terminal and the first terminal of the inductor, the switch operable for switching between an ON state in which the direct current input is coupled to the inductor, and an OFF state in which the direct current input is isolated from the inductor; and a controller coupled to the switch and operable for controlling the amount of time the switch is in the ON state and the OFF state such that the duration of time the switch is in the ON state is inversely proportional to the difference between the voltage at the input terminal and the voltage at the output terminal.

Current mode switching regulator with predetermined on time

A power amplifying apparatus which is of a switching type and capable of efficiently amplifying a power of an input AC signal such as an acoustic signal, includes a first switch circuit () and a second switch circuit () to which a power supply voltage Vc is applied, an inductor () and a load () which are connected between the switch circuits, and a control circuit () which receives an input AC signal Vi, sets a predetermined ratio of ON/OFF periods, and drives the switch circuits. The control circuit () includes an arithmetic circuit () which multiplies a modulation sensitivity (for example, an amplitude of a triangular wave voltage used for generation of a pulse signal for driving a switch circuit) by a ratio (Vc/Ec) of the power supply voltage Vc and a DC component Ec thereof. This configuration can compensate for distortion caused by a ripple variation of the power supply voltage due to regenerated power or the like, and enable a gain control by the power supply voltage.
