A fishing rod according to one embodiment includes a rod body extending in a front-and-back direction along a central axis, a fitting having a mounting part, where the mounting part is mounted on an outer peripheral surface of the rod body at a first position determined in a circumferential direction around the central axis, and a fiber-reinforced resin layer surrounding the rod body so as to cover the mounting part. The fiber-reinforced resin layer has a first portion covering the rod body along an entire length thereof in the circumferential direction around the central axis and a second portion extending in the axial direction backward from an axially back end of the first portion and extending in the circumferential direction less than 180° clockwise from the first position and also less than 180° anti-clockwise from the first position.

A fishing rod according to one embodiment includes a rod body extending in a front-and-back direction along a central axis, a fitting having a mounting part, where the mounting part is mounted on an outer peripheral surface of the rod body at a first position determined in a circumferential direction around the central axis, and a fiber-reinforced resin layer surrounding the rod body so as to cover the mounting part. The fiber-reinforced resin layer has a first portion covering the rod body along an entire length thereof in the circumferential direction around the central axis and a second portion extending in the axial direction backward from an axially back end of the first portion and extending in the circumferential direction less than 180&#xb0; clockwise from the first position and also less than 180&#xb0; anti-clockwise from the first position.

A fishing rod includes a rod section and a fitting having a securing portion, the fitting being firmly secured to the rod section without inhibiting bending of the rod section, the securing portion having an excellent outer appearance. On a securing portion of a fishing line guide placed on the rod section, a prepreg sheet formed of plain-woven reinforcement fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin is wound to secure the fishing line guide. The prepreg sheet is wound and secured so that, with respect to an axial direction, reinforcement fibers are in oblique directions, and intersecting angles of the reinforcement fibers in a winding region on a part of the rod section located beyond a distal end of the securing portion are smaller than those of the reinforcement fibers in a winding region on the securing portion.

Fishing rod

One object is to provide a fishing rod in which stability in securing a fitting is achieved. The fishing rod includes a molded rod section having a surface and the fitting placed on the surface, the fitting having a securing portion and being secured to the surface with a sheet member made of a thermosetting resin that is wound on the securing portion and heat-cured. The sheet member includes a first sheet member and a second sheet member made of thermosetting resins, the first sheet member being placed or wound on the rod section, the second sheet member being wound over the first sheet member and the securing portion placed on the first sheet member. The thermosetting resins of the first sheet member and the second sheet member have different curing temperatures from each other.

One object of the present invention is to provide a fishing rod wherein a fitting can be stably and securely fixed on a rod body with a mounting thread and cracking in a resin layer is less visible to a user. A fishing rod according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rod body, a fitting mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the rod body via a mounting portion of the fitting, and a thread-like part-fixing member wound around the mounting portion and the rod body across a predetermined width in an axial direction of the rod body. On the surface of the part-fixing member is provided a cover member which may be opaque.

The object of the present invention is to provide ink jet recording sheets having a high color forming property and causing no troubles in carrying them in printers. The invention provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has a practical high sensitivity to red light or infrared ray, especially semiconductor laser beam and is excellent in storage stability. The photoconductor layer of this photoreceptor comprises comprises an inorganic photoconductor, a binder resin, a sensitizing dye and optionally an acid anhydride, wherein said sensitizing dye is at least one of dye compounds represented by the following formulas [I], [II], [III] and [IV]: ##STR1## In the above formulas, the respective symbols are as defined hereinbefore.

Sulfated tannins or salts thereof are herein disclosed. These compounds can be prepared by a method which comprises reacting tannin with a sulfonating agent under a basic condition. These compounds show antiviral activity and reverse transcriptase inhibitor, effects and can be used to treat patients infected with a variety of virus such as AIDS virus, herpesvirus, influenza virus or rhinovirus.

Disclosed is a process for producing a liquid developer for electrostatic photography which comprises a highly insulating hydrocarbon medium and resin particles dispersed therein, said process comprising polymerizing a monomer (A) soluble in said medium, but insolubilized upon being polymerized in the presence of a polymer (S) insoluble in said medium and having a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group or an amide group. In this process, a monomer (B) soluble in said medium and still soluble upon being polymerization and/or a monomer (C) having at least two polymerizable unsaturated double bonds may also be polyumerized.

This invention provides a negative-charging liquid developer for electrostatic photography excellent in charge stability and dispersion stability which comprises a highly insulating carrier liquid in which resin particles containing a charge control agent are dispersed, said charge control agent being a carboxylic acid amine salt which comprises a polycarboxylic acid compound insoluble in said carrier liquid and a high molecular amino compound soluble in said carrier liquid.
