The present invention provides a tack which prevents puckering phenomenon from being generated when the tack is pierced into cloth and enables a firm engagement between the tack and a boss portion of a button. In the tack for button, a cylindrical post stands on the center of a seat plate and a quadrangular pyramid shaped head is formed at an end of the post. The head is pointed such that a vertical angle of each of peripheral faces of the head is in a range of 20 to 40&deg;. Four corners on a proximal periphery of the head are protruded out of an outer peripheral face of the post so as to form an engaging portion which bites into a wall face of an attaching hole in a boss portion of the button. When the tack is pierced into cloth, because the head makes a linear contact with the cloth and it is pointed, no puckering phenomenon occurs, thereby making it possible to engage and fix the tack to the boss portion firmly.

Tack for button

A male/female engaging device utilized with a pair of tapes constructed so that a gap between the pair of tapes is as small as possible and capable of providing a fashionable and beautiful appearance. Female engaging devices made of synthetic resin are attached to one side edge of one of the pair of tapes and male engaging devices are attached to one side edge of the other of the pair of tapes. Engagement or disengagement between a female engaging device and its corresponding male engaging device is carried out inside of the side edge of one of the tapes on which the female engaging device or the male engaging device is attached. In one embodiment, each female engaging device includes a vertical pair of engaging pieces protruded from a base portion for covering the side edge of one tape and each male engaging device includes a hooking portion for covering the side edge of the other tape so that the engaging pieces are capable of engaging the hooking portion. Because the female engaging devices and the male engaging devices are engaged at positions inside of a side edge of one of the tapes, the gap between the pair of tapes can be reduced.

This invention provides a female-male engaging device with tapes having a flat shape and a good appearance, wherein a female engaging device and a male engaging device can be easily engaged and disengaged with each other. The female engaging device and the male engaging device are mounted to a side edge of a tape at intervals, the female engaging device is defined with a leg portion for sandwiching the edge portion of the tape, a cavity portion in front face of the leg portion, and a laterally long engaging hole in a front wall, and the male engaging device is defined with a leg portion for sandwiching the edge portion of the tape, a neck portion at a front face of the leg portion having a size substantially corresponding to that of the engaging hole, and a bulging engaging head at a front face of the neck portion having a constant width and a front face in a shape of a Rugby ball, a thickness of a center portion of the engaging head is larger than that of the engaging hole, and a thickness of each of opposite ends of the engaging head is smaller than that of the engaging hole. The engaging head is inserted from its opposite ends and engaged with the engaging hole, and the engaging head is disengaged from the engaging hole by pulling an end portion side. Because the engaging and disengaging operations are only in a plane direction, the operations are easy.

In an attachment structure for attaching a fastener member to the wrist of a glove body, a first attachment is to be mounted on and along an open edge of the glove wrist and has a plurality of longitudinally arranged socket holes, and a second attachment is to be mounted on and along an edge of the fastener member and has a locking portion to be removably fitted in the respective socket holes to be engageable with a locking hole of the first attachment. The fastener member can be attached to the glove body by snap action as the locking portion of the second attachment is inserted into the respective socket hole of the first attachment.

Hook-and-eye fastener

A snap button for attachment to a cloth is composed of male and female buttons engageable with each other. Each of the male and female buttons includes a face plate centrally from which a smashable shank projects, a snap body, and a resilient plate. The snap body has a respective one of concave socket and plug portions in which an axial shank-insertion hole, and a peripheral flange extending from a base portion of the plug and socket portions off an inner open end thereof. The resilient plate is adapted to be pierced by the shank so as to clamp the cloth between the face plate and the resilient plate. As a result, the cloth is held not only between the resilient plate and the shank but also between the shank and the snap body, and this clamp structure prevents the cloth from being removed off the each of the male and female buttons.

In accordance with another modification, the coupler comprises one or more of fitting parts and retention cancelling means adapted to induce retention of the elongate article in cooperation with the fitting parts and cancel the retention of the elongate article when a tension exceeding a prescribed level is exerted on the elongate article.

A swivel hook including a head portion pivotally connected to the strap connector body, a hook-shape leg projecting from the head portion, and an unhooking-preventing leg projecting from the head portion toward a tip of the hook-shaped leg and resiliently deformable about its own base end. The hook-shaped leg has on its inner surface near its base end a projection engageable with an inner surface of the unhooking-preventing leg within an elastic-limit range of the unhooking-preventing leg when the unhooking-preventing leg is deformed.

The cord stopper comprises: a plug having a plug head, a neck projecting centrally from a rear surface of the plug head and a plate-like cord clamp attached to a distal end of the neck substantially perpendicularly thereto; a socket having centrally in its bottom a recess and a pair of sidewalls located on opposite sides of the recess, the recess having a depth greater than the thickness of the cord clamp for receiving the cord clamp, the sidewalls having two pairs of cord thru-holes, the pair of cord thru-holes of one of the sidewalls being axially aligned with the pair of cord thru-holes of the other sidewall for threading therethrough a cord; and moving means located between the plug and the socket for moving the cord clamp forwardly and backwardly in the recess.

Cord stopper

A cord stopper releasably fastens a cord thereto. The cord stopper has a front body and a housing attached to a rear side of the front body. The housing has a through hole and a seat formed around the through hole. An annular spring rests on the seat. The annular spring is slightly less in diameter than the through hole so that the inner peripheral part of the annular spring appears beyond the periphery of the through hole. The cord is joined to the annular spring so that the cord is retained against the front body.

A tack button is disclosed which comprises a button body having a cylindrical hub, a tack member and an anchoring member interconnecting the button body and the tack member. The cylindrical hub is resiliently supported to make a tilting movement relative to the plane of a garment fabric at both of its upper and lower marginal edges.

A snap button for attachment to a garment fabric comprises a socket member, a plug member snappingly engageable therewith and a spring member accommodated in the socket. The socket member includes a cylindrical hub and a bottomless collet having an annular flange which has a plurality of ridges adapted to be folded radially inwardly over the spring and over the hub, respectively.

An attaching device for attaching a fastener element to a garment fabric includes a stud body having an enlarged head and including a clinching member and a relatively thick reinforcing member joined with the clinching member and forming at least a part of the head, the clinching member having at least one shank extending substantially perpendicular to the head and adapted to be clenched with the fastener element. A cap is formed of a synthetic resin and injection-molded over at least a peripheral edge portion of the head. The stud body includes a cap-retaining portion in the form of a plurality of recesses formed in the peripheral edge portion of the head and held in locking engagement with the material of the molded cap for firmly retaining the cap in position against removal from, and rotation relative to, the head.
