A backlight device illuminates a transmissive liquid crystal panel from a rear surface thereof, and includes light source substrates, a reflecting sheet, a diffusing-guiding plate, and an optical-function-sheet layered body. The substrates have light-emitting elements for illuminating illumination light. The reflecting sheet has the substrates mounted to one surface thereof, has an opening formed in correspondence with the light-emitting elements, allows the light-emitting elements to be exposed at another surface of the reflecting sheet from the opening, and reflects the illumination light from the light-emitting elements by the another surface. The plate faces the another surface side of the sheet at a predetermined interval from the reflecting sheet, and diffuses in a layer thereof the illumination light incident from the reflecting sheet. The layered body is combined to the plate, includes laminated optical function sheets, and guides the illumination light to the panel.

Backlight device, liquid crystal display device, and electronic apparatus

A clip provided by the present invention includes an insert portion that is inserted into an insertion hole formed in a flat-shaped chassis and that engages with the chassis, and a collar portion that is formed in a flat shape around the circumference of the insert portion. When the insert portion is inserted into the insertion hole, the collar portion and the chassis clamp at least one light emitting board that is positioned in contact with the chassis, and the thickness of the collar portion is set to be equal to or less than an amount of protrusion of a light emitting portion formed protrudingly from the light emitting board.

Clip and backlight assembly

A light-emitting-diode backlight device includes a light source substrate to which many light-emitting diodes are mounted, and a bottom chassis having the light source substrate mounted to a principal surface side of the bottom chassis. Illumination light from the light-emitting diodes is supplied to a display panel unit. A back-surface side of the bottom chassis is provided with a heat-dissipating unit making uniform a temperature distribution over the entire bottom chassis. The heat-dissipating unit includes a mounting plate, a heat pipe, and a radiating fin. The mounting plate is mounted to at least a high-temperature area of the bottom chassis. The heat pipe is disposed on both the high-temperature area and a low-temperature area, and is mounted to the mounting plate. The radiating fin is mounted to the low-temperature area, and connected to an end of the heat pipe.

Light-emitting-diode backlight device

A backlight device includes a light source; supporting means having four edges arranged in a frame-like manner; at least one optical sheet supported by the supporting means and allowing light emitted from the light source to pass therethrough and be incident on a back surface of a liquid crystal panel, the optical sheet having an opening in a position substantially dividing a length of a bottom edge thereof into halves; and a vibration-proof member extending through the opening and fixed to the supporting means.

Backlight device and display apparatus

Disclosed is a heat radiator which is provided in a transmissive display unit in which a plurality of rows of light emitting arrays constituted by arranging a plurality of light emitting units including a plurality of LEDs mounted on a wiring substrate are arranged on the back surface side of a transmissive display panel, and illuminating light emitted from the LEDs is irradiated onto the display panel. In the heat radiator, a radiation plate () supporting LEDs () and a heat sink () constitute an overlap area () with a back panel () interposed therebetween and are integrated with each other through the back panel by a fixing member in the overlap area. The back panel, radiation plate, and heat sink are firmly mounted to each other, achieving effective heat radiation.

Heat radiator and display unit

The present invention provides a radiator for a light emitting unit, annexed to the light emitting unit including a multiplicity of light emitting diodes mounted on substantially the same axis line on a first principal surface of a wiring substrate. The radiator includes a radiating plate and a heat pipe. The radiating plate is combined with the wiring substrate, with a first principal surface faced as a faying surface to a second principal surface opposite to the first principal surface of the wiring substrate, and is provided with a heat pipe fitting portion. The heat pipe is mounted into the heat pipe fitting portion of the radiating plate while keeping close contact with the inner wall of the heat pipe fitting portion. The heat generated from the light emitting diode group is transferred to a radiating means through the radiating plate and the heat pipe.
