According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposing the first substrate, a wiring substrate connected to the first substrate, a cover member located on an opposite side to the first substrate so as to interpose the second substrate therebetween and a conductive layer maintained at a predetermined potential, and the first substrate includes an extension portion extending further from the second substrate, the wiring substrate is connected to the extension portion, the cover member includes a first surface opposing the extension portion, and the conductive layer overlaps the extension portion in plan view.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a display device which includes a plurality of signal line drivers which drive a display area of a display panel by dividing the display area into a plurality of division display areas is provided. The plurality of signal line drivers include a master signal line driver and a slave signal line diver. Each of the master signal line driver and the slave signal line driver drives at least one of the division display areas. An outward path outputs a direct-current voltage from the master signal line driver to the slave signal line driver. A return path is electrically connected to and is contiguous with the outward path, and returns the direct-current voltage to the master signal line driver.

A headlight controller, an optical unit and a vehicle headlight can include a headlight controller and an optical unit. The headlight controller can include a system controller and a camera photographing vehicles located in a forward direction thereof, and the system controller can be configured to output a control signal to provide various favorable light distribution patterns by using image data output from the camera in accordance with traffic conditions. The optical unit can be configured to emit beam lights each having a light-emitting angle using lights emitted from first and second white LEDs via a projector lens so that the beam lights can be used as a high and low beam without movable parts. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can include providing vehicle headlights that can form various favorable light distribution patterns by utilizing the characteristics of the controller and the optical unit in accordance with the traffic conditions.

Headlight controller, optical unit and vehicle headlight

An object of the present invention is to enable to adequately adjust an optical beam axis of a lamp in response to an inclining angle of a main body of a vehicle in a back and forth direction in an optical beam axis adjustment apparatus of a head lamp for use in vehicle. Upward and downward movements of front and rear wheels are individually sensed by use of respective stroke sensors 1 and 2. An angular detecting unit 3a detects the inclining angle of the main body of the vehicle in the back and forth direction depending upon the output signals produced from the stroke sensors while a traveling sensing unit 3b senses a traveling status and a stopping status of the vehicle. A control unit 3 adjusts the optical beam axis of the head lamp 5 through an actuator 4 during stopping of the vehicle, corresponding to the detected angular data produced from the stroke sensors 1 and 2; and averaged during a certain specified period which precedes the adjustment.
