An image pickup apparatus includes a case, a photographing optical system, an imaging element, and a viewfinder device. The viewfinder device includes a viewfinder case, a transmission liquid crystal panel, a lighting device, a first sheet polarizer, and a second sheet polarizer. The viewfinder case includes a case body and a case partitioning member. The lighting device and the first sheet polarizer are supported inside the case partitioning member. The transmission liquid crystal panel is supported inside the case partitioning member with the display surface faced to the window. The second sheet polarizer is supported inside the case body.

Image pickup apparatus and display device

A back-light device and a liquid crystal display in which light from light sources is guided to a light-guiding plate efficiently and heat of the light sources is dissipated efficiently. The back-light device of the liquid crystal panel has a front frame and a rear frame. There are provided four optical sheets, a light-guiding plate, a flexible PCB, two light sources, and a reflecting sheet between the front frame and the rear frame. The flexible PCB has a PCB part and two erected parts. A resistor and a thermistor as electronic parts and two light sources are installed on the PCB part in the vicinity of the erected parts. A light-radiating surface of the light source is pressed to an incident surface of the light-guiding plate by the erected part.

Reduced thickness optical image pickup device with improved sealing and method of making same

An imaging system includes left and right display panels arranged so as to be viewed separately by left and right eyes of a viewer. A three dimensional video signal is supplied to a drive circuit for the display panels such that image data from the three dimensional video signal is supplied alternately to the left and right display panels. The display panels are of a memory effect LCD type such that, when no image data is received by the display panel, the image data of the previously received field is maintained on display for providing flickerless imaging.

Stereoscopic imaging systems using memory affect liquid crystal displays

A cold-cathode fluorescent lamp lighting device which enables to perform high-efficiency lighting of a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp. The direct-current voltage is converted into the alternating voltage by the voltage converting means, and when the alternating voltage is boosted to the stated high-tension alternating voltage by the transforming means, the ratio of step-up transformation by the transforming means with respect to the alternating voltage is adjusted by the change-over means, so that the alternating voltage is boosted into the first high-tension alternating voltage at the time to start lighting of the cold-cathode fluorescent lamp, and the alternating voltage is boosted into the second high-tension alternating voltage at the time of steady-state lighting of the cold-cathode fluorescent lamp, therefore the first high-tension alternating voltage and the second high-tension alternating voltage of the voltage values which are respectively needed, as the minimum requirements, at the time to start lighting and the time of steady-state lighting of the cold-cathode fluorescent lamp can be obtained with the simple circuit constitution, in this way, a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp lighting device which is capable of high-efficiency lighting of a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp can be realized.

Cold-cathode fluorescent lamp lighting device

A DC power supply device for use with a video tape recorder with a built-in camera has a plurality of power supply blocks for supplying a plurality of voltages, each of the power supply blocks being composed of a switching circuit for being supplied with a DC voltage and a smoothing circuit connected to an output terminal of the switching circuit. The power supply blocks are mounted on a multilayer circuit board which includes a layer of a ground pattern with an electric conductor extending substantially fully thereover, the ground pattern being separated into a plurality of ground pattern portions by a plurality of recesses defined therein, the power supply blocks having respective ground terminals connected to the ground pattern portions, respectively. The multilayer circuit board may comprise at least a layer for mounting electronic parts thereon, a layer having a signal line pattern thereon, a layer having a power supply line pattern thereon, in addition to the layer of the ground pattern, and a plurality of insulating layers electrically separating and mechanically joining the layers.
