Provided are a measuring apparatus and method for obtaining a measurement value from a response to a signal applied to a sample, wherein the measuring apparatus includes a first measuring unit that measures a first electric response to a first signal that is input to a first pair of electrodes that can come into contact with a sample, a second measuring unit that measures a second electric response to a second signal that is input to a second pair of electrodes that can come into contact with the sample, the second signal changing its value from a first level to a second level and thereafter maintaining the second level for a certain period of time, as a peak value of a response signal with respect to the change in the second signal, and a control unit that corrects a value indicating the amount of a measuring target component of the sample, the value being obtained from the first electric response, based on the peak value of the response signal.

A molecular probe for use in imaging of pancreatic islets is provided. The molecular probe comprises a polypeptide represented by the following formula (1), (2), or (3), or a polypeptide having homology with the foregoing polypeptide, where, in the formulae (1) and (2), 'X' represents a lysine residue, an amino group of a side chain of the lysine residue being labeled with a radioactive nuclide, and 'Z&#x2014;' indicates that an &#x3b1;-amino group at an N-terminus is not modified, or is modified with a modifying group having no electric charge; in the formula (3), &#x201c;B&#x2014;&#x201d; indicates that an &#x3b1;-amino group at an N-terminus is labeled with a radioactive nuclide; and in the formulae (1), (2), and (3), &#x201c;&#x2014;NH&#x201d; indicates that a carboxyl group at a C-terminus is amidated.

This invention is regard to an analysis device that analyze a specific component in bodily fluid extracted from the skin using an analysis tool. The analysis device comprise a laser beam oscillation section that emits a laser beam for extracting the bodily fluid from the skin, and a detection mechanism that detects whether or not the analysis tool exists at a target position. The analysis device is adapted to emit the laser beam from the laser beam oscillation section when the analysis tool is detected by the detection mechanism.
