The present invention is to provide a rear structure of a vehicle body that can ensure high body stiffness and suspension stiffness and that can disperse impact load to the whole body. In the rear structure of a vehicle body, a crossmemberbridged between right and left rear side framesis approximately an X-shape in plan view having a first crossmemberand a second crossmember, and at least one of the front ends of the first and second crossmembers and the rear ends of the first and second crossmembers is directly connected to a structure to be equipped with a suspension.

A front structure of a vehicle includes torque box members connecting front side frames and side sills, and front suspension member supports integrally provided on the torque box members. According to the structure of the present invention, the number of members is decreased, and the supporting rigidity of the front suspension member supports is increased. Furthermore, the geometry of the front suspension members supports is maintained by being prevented from local deformation by load application from the suspension member to the front suspension member supports. Thus, the excellent driving stability and maneuverability of the vehicle are assured.

In the front frame (1) for a vehicle body formed with a bendable portion (1a) midway thereof, the bending deformation due to a bending moment M1 generated at the bendable portion (1a) of the front frame (1) in case of a vehicle collision is suppressed to improve the effect of absorbing collision energy. A pair of front and rear bead portions (5) arranged in a V shape are formed on the side surface of the bendable portion (1a) of the front frame (1) in such a way that the space between the two opposing bead portions (5) increases gradually from the upper compression side to the lower tension side. Therefore, in case of a vehicle frontal collision, it is possible to generate an additional moment M which can cancel out the bending moment M1 generated at the bendable portion (1a) due to the shape factor of the front frame, so that the deformation mode of the front frame (1) can be changed from the bending mode to a nearly buckling mode. As a result, it is possible to improve the effect of absorbing collision energy in case of a vehicle collision.

A spindle servo circuit controls the rotation of a disc-driving spindle motor based on absolute address information taken from a disc. Reproduction digital data is written to and read from a RAM. An address control circuit generates a write address of the RAM by counting clocks synchronized with the reproduction digital data by a first counter, and generates a read address of the RAM by counting reference clocks by a second counter. A jitter correction circuit produces jitter-removed reproduction digital data from the RAM. The address control circuit is reset so that the address margin of the RAM is maximized when the spindle servo circuit is locked.

A circuit for detecting a synchronizing signal comprises a gate circuit to which a reproduced synchronizing signal and a window signal are supplied. A first counter synchronized with an output signal from the gate circuit counts a clock signal formed from the reproduced signal and generates an insertion synchronizing signal. A second counter synchronized with the output signal from the gate circuit counts a fixed clock signal and generates the window signal. The output signal from the gate circuit or the insertion synchronizing signal is made a synchronizing detection signal. The frame synchronizing signal can thus be detected stably and reliably.
