A soft magnetic material is a soft magnetic material including a composite magnetic particle () having a metal magnetic particle () mainly composed of Fe and an insulating coating () covering metal magnetic particle (), and insulating coating () contains an iron phosphate compound and an aluminum phosphate compound. The atomic ratio of Fe contained in a contact surface of insulating coating () in contact with metal magnetic particle () is larger than the atomic ratio of Fe contained in the surface of insulating coating (). The atomic ratio of Al contained in the contact surface of insulating coating () in contact with metal magnetic particle () is smaller than the atomic ratio of Al contained in the surface of insulating coating (). Thus, iron loss can be reduced.

Soft magnetic material, powder magnetic core and method of manufacturing soft magnetic material

The object of the present invention is to provide a powder core and method for making the same that is equipped with insulative coating having superior heat resistance, with the coating making it possible to adequately restrict the flow of eddy currents between particles. The powder core is equipped with a plurality of compound magnetic particles bonded to each other. Each of said plurality of composite magnetic particles includes: a metal magnetic particle; an insulative lower layer coatingsurrounding a surfaceof said metal magnetic particle; an upper layer coatingsurrounding said lower layer coatingand containing silicon; and dispersed particlescontaining a metal oxide compound and disposed in said lower layer coatingand/or said upper layer coating. A mean particle diameter R of the dispersed particlesmeets the condition 10 nm&#x3c;R&#x2266;2 T, where the average thickness of the coating combining the lower layer coatingand the upper layer coatingis T.

A method for making soft magnetic material includes: a first heat treatment step applying a temperature of at least 400 deg C. and less than 900 deg C. to metal magnetic particles; a step for forming a plurality of compound magnetic particles in which said metal magnetic particles are surrounded by insulation film; and a step for forming a shaped body by compacting a plurality of compound magnetic particles. This provides a method for making soft magnetic material that provides desired magnetic properties.

Process for producing soft magnetism material, soft magnetism material and powder magnetic core

The present invention provides a soft magnetic material and a powder magnetic core having desired magnetic characteristics. A soft magnetic material contains a metal magnetic powder. The metal magnetic powderis formed from crystalswith an average size, as determined from X-ray diffraction, of at least 30 nm. It would be preferable, in the metal magnetic particles, for crystal grainsto have an average size of at least 10 microns.

Negative electrode of a lithium secondary battery with a two-layered inorganic solid electrolytic material

A method of independently producing a negative electrode for a lithium secondary cell having thin films of lithium and a sulfide-based inorganic solid electrolyte begins with a negative electrode base material and an inorganic solid electrolyte source material being removed from closed containers in a chamber space, which is substantially inactive to lithium and insulated from air. The materials are transferred into an adjacent thin film deposition system without being exposed to the air. In the system, the source material is used to form a thin film of an inorganic solid electrolyte on the base material, to make the electrode. The electrode is transferred, without being exposed to the air, into a chamber space, which is substantially inactive to lithium, where the electrode is placed into a closed container. Thus, a negative electrode can be produced without being degraded by air.

Method of producing negative electrode for lithium secondary cell

A method of producing a thin film of an inorganic solid electrolyte having a relatively high ionic conductance is provided. In the method, a thin film made of an inorganic solid electrolyte is formed, by a vapor deposition method, on a base member being heated. The thin film obtained through the heat treatment exhibits an ionic conductance higher than that of the thin film formed on the base member not being heated. The ionic conductance can also be increased through the steps of forming the thin film made of the inorganic solid electrolyte on the base member at room temperature or a temperature lower than 40&deg; C. and then heating the thin film of the inorganic solid electrolyte.

A magnetic field sensor has a SQUID, which is made of thin film of oxide superconductor deposited on a substrate, and a magnetic flux guide that has a higher permeability than vacuum to increase the effective capture area. The flux guide is positioned and aligned over a hole that is surrounded with superconducting current loop formed in a washer thereof. The SQUID also has a pair of Josephson junction formed on the washer and a pair of opposite terminals for connecting the washer to an outer circuit. In the SQUID, a variation in magnetic flux passing through the hole is detected in a form of variation in output voltage.

The magnetic sensor includes a SQUID for inspecting a drift of the magnetic field that is parallel to the magnetic field.
