A portable terminal includes a case, a display unit having a display screen exposed from a front surface of the case, and a skin-condition measurement sensor accommodated in the case. The skin-condition measurement sensor includes a measurement unit provided on the front surface of the case. The portable terminal can be carried and operate easily.

Portable terminal and skin property measuring instrument

A high-frequency receiver capable of improving both an interference-resistant characteristic and reception sensitivity is provided. A gain switch control unit includes: a signal level determination unit comparing a gain control voltage of an amplifying circuit with a reference voltage; and a gain switch controller provided between an output terminal of the signal level determination unit and a gain control input terminal provided to an amplifying circuit for gain control. When receiving a signal in a strong electric field area having a high possibility that a strong interference signal exists, a gain of the amplifying circuit is set to be smaller than that in a case of receiving a signal in a weak electric field area by a gain switch signal output from the gain switch controller.

High-frequency receiver having a gain switch controller

A portable receiver includes an antenna to which at least FM broadcast wave is inputted, a matching circuit to which the signal input to the antenna is supplied via minute resistance component, an FM receiver unit with the output of the matching circuit connected thereto, and an earphone connected to the output of the FM receiver unit. The antenna is formed from rigid metal, and its length is shorter than the quarter wavelength of the FM broadcast wave. The matching circuit is formed by reactance element having fine DC resistance. The impedance value of the resistance component as viewed via the resistance component from the matching circuit is nearly equal to the impedance of the matching circuit.

Portable receiver

An antenna device having a high gain is presented. The device includes an antenna element, a variable capacitor disposed closely to the antenna element and connected to the antenna element in series or parallel to form a resonance circuit, a tuning voltage supply terminal for supplying a tuning voltage for varying a capacitance of the variable capacitor, and an signal power terminal capable of at least one of sending a signal power to the resonance circuit and receiving a signal power from the resonance circuit.

Antenna device

The present invention provides a low cost microstrip line with low loss and a microwave device using the microstrip line. The microstrip line comprises (a) a dielectric substrate for general purpose use with relatively high loss in a microwave frequency, (b) a strip conductor foil disposed on the front surface of the substrate, (c) a metal plate for grounding disposed in contact with the back of the dielectric substrate, and (d) an air layer formed on a portion of the metal plate for grounding, the portion facing to the strip conductor foil.

Filter device

A filter comprises an inductor, a first variable capacitance diode, a second variable capacitance diode having nearly identical characteristic as the first variable capacitance diode, a control terminal for applying voltage to the first and the second variable capacitance diodes, an input terminal, an output terminal and a signal line between the input terminal and the output terminal. A cutoff frequency is controllable with the voltage applied to the control terminal. The variable frequency filter which can receive a large signal has reduced size due to a structure in which the first and the second variable capacitance diodes having nearly identical characteristics are connected either in series or in parallel with their polarities reversed against each other.

Controllable filter and high frequency apparatus using the same

A coaxial line-to-microstrip line transition device including a coaxial line, a microstrip line circuit, and a conductive connection part. The inner conductor of the coaxial line is connected with a microstrip line of the microstrip line circuit. The connection part includes a semi-cylindrical plate which is connected with the outer conductor of the coaxial line by grasping it, and a flat plate which is connected at a surface thereof with a earth layer surface of the microstrip line circuit. The microstrip line is mounted on one surface of a dielectric substrate, and the earth layer is mounted on the other surface of the dielectric substrate. The dielectric substrate is mounted on a chassis which is either provided separately or shared by the flat plate of the connection part which is extended in size. Preferably, a through-hole is provided at least one of the semi-cylindrical plate and the flat plate to be filled with a conductive material.
