In a drop-in loaded camera, a back lid is opened to its predetermined open position by magnetic repulsion produced by magnetic members disposed on the back lid and the camera body when releasing a back lid latch that keeps the back lid closed. The back lid thus opened is held in that open position by magnetic attraction, in which a film supply chamber is exposed at the bottom of the camera for the insertion of a patrone with a leader previously withdrawn therefrom. In that open position there is also provided a slot for the threading of the leader in an exposure position. The back lid is free to move farther open, beyond that predetermined open position, but against that magnetic attraction. In this way, the lid when released automatically seeks that partially open positon for film loading and unloading, but is more fully openable merely by pulling it farther open against the same magnetic force that tends to maintain it in the partially open position. Thus the camera can be fully opened for inspection, repair, etc. without the need to provide any additional structure.

Camera back lid opening apparatus

An instant camera in which a self-processing type film unit is passed between a pair of spreading rollers and ejected to the exterior of the camera while a container means containing a development processing solution in the film unit is torn by the nipping force of the rollers causing said processing solution to be spread over an image forming region in said film unit, characterized by the spreading rollers being formed such that the clearance therebetween is greater at the center section thereof and smaller near the roller ends which contact the edges of said image forming region.

Instant camera

A shutter releasing system controlling apparatus for a self developing type instant camera equipped with a motor-driven treating liquid spreader. The shutter releasing operation is prevented not only when the battery is too low, but also during the motor driving operation of the treating liquid spreader. On and off timing control of the motor is correctly and safely performed by the shutter releasing system.

Film forwarding means provided as a block unit in a rear portion of a camera, able to engage film from the rear thereof, and automatically moved to a position for film engagement when the camera is closed and moved out of this position when the camera is open, whereby film change is unhindered.

Film forwarding mechanism comprising a reciprocally slidable plate carrying pawl to engage and forward film. The plate is normally held at a first position, is released subsequent to camera shutter action, moved to and held at an intermediate position until released therefrom by action of a rotary drive mechanism, moved to a second position, then moved by the drive mechanism from the second position to the first position, the pawl forwarding film during plate movement from the second to the first position.
