A motor assembly includes a motor and sealing member fixed to a frame. The motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a coil holding portion and a first portion with an annular shape and extending radially outward from the coil holding portion. The rotor includes a magnet and a magnet holding portion located in a first space. The first portion has a first surface in contact with the first space, and a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface. A through hole penetrates from the first surface to the second surface in the first portion. The sealing member is disposed on a side of the stator opposite to the rotor, and is fixed to the frame so a second space between the sealing member and the stator does not communicate with an external space other than the first space.

A U-phase winding includes four winding portions connected in series between a neutral point and a U-phase input end. A V-phase winding includes four winding portions connected in series between the neutral point and a V-phase input end. Directions in which these winding portions are each wound from a first winding end to a second winding end are the same as viewed from the predetermined location.

A cleaning apparatus includes a blade, a screw, a toner crushing member, and a casing. The toner crushing member is located in contact with the screw. The toner crushing member is provided in association with the screw and configured to crush toner accumulated between the screw and the blade, by being swung by the screw rotating. The casing houses the screw and the toner crushing member. The screw rotates in the direction reverse to the rotational direction of the photoreceptor drum. The toner crushing member is configured having a first part and a second part, with a base-end side of the first part being secured to the casing, and the second part being folded back along a distal-end side of the first part, such that a distal-end side of the second part swings between the blade and the screw, in association with the rotation of the screw.

An image forming apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a drum unit, a developing unit, a pressing unit, and a projection portion. Drum unit includes photosensitive drum. Developing unit includes a developing roller that develops a toner image on the photosensitive drum. Each of drum unit and developing unit is configured to be extractable from an apparatus body. Pressing unit is configured to make developing unit movable between a pressing position at which developing roller is pressed against photosensitive drum and a pressing-releasing position at which developing roller is separated from photosensitive drum so as to release the pressing. Projection portion is provided integrally with developing unit and configured to be projected to an extraction path of drum unit when developing unit is located at pressing position and to retract from extraction path of drum unit when developing unit is located at the pressing-releasing position.

Image forming apparatus

A paper separating device for separating a paper sheet includes a frame member, an image carrier, a securing plate, and two types of assemblies. The two types of assemblies include: a first assembly that includes a separation claw configured to separate the paper sheet from the image carrier, a guiding member configured to guide the paper sheet, and a holder with an engaging portion; and a second assembly that engages the guiding member alone to the holder with the engaging portion without holding the separation claw. The frame member and the securing plate each include an assembly securing portion with an engaged portion to be engaged with the engaging portion of the holder. One of the two types of assemblies is secured to the assembly securing portion disposed at the securing plate while another is secured to the assembly securing portion disposed at the frame member.

Paper separating device and image forming apparatus

A support unit that supports a member to be supported is inserted in an apparatus main body thus to be mounted therein. The support unit includes a wall portion, a connector unit, and a cover member. The wall portion is provided on an upstream end portion of the support unit in the direction in which the support unit is inserted. The connector unit is provided on the wall portion for electrical connection between the apparatus main body and the support unit. The cover member is pivotably supported by a bearing portion provided on the wall portion, so as to pivot between a first position in which the connector unit is exposed so as to allow an operator to grasp the cover member, and a second position in which the connector unit is concealed.

A developing device includes a developing container, a first agitating/conveying member, a second agitating/conveying member, a developer supply member, a supply port, and a supply section. The developing container is separated into a developer supply passage, a first conveying chamber, and a second conveying chamber, which are arranged substantially parallel to one another. The supply section is disposed between the developer supply passage and the first conveying chamber, and through the supply section, the developer is supplied from the developer supply passage into the first conveying chamber. The supply section is disposed upstream from a downstream-side end portion of the developer supply passage but downstream from the supply port with respect to a developer-conveying direction of the developer supply passage, and via the supply section, the developer supply member supplies the developer into the first conveying chamber in a direction opposite to a developer-conveying direction of the first conveying chamber.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing with an inner space, a photosensitive drum, a drum unit, a rail member, and a static eliminator. The photosensitive drum includes a rotating shaft, and a circumferential surface to be drivingly rotated around the rotating shaft for carrying an image thereon. The drum unit is inserted in the inner space of the housing along an axis direction of the rotating shaft in a state that the photosensitive drum is integrally supported to be mounted in the inner space. The rail member extends along the axis direction in the inner space for guiding the drum unit in the axis direction when the drum unit is mounted. The static eliminator is fixed to the rail member, and disposed to face the photosensitive drum in the drum unit mounted in the inner space for irradiating the circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum with static eliminating light.

What is provided is an image formation apparatus including: an image formation part provided inside a main body so that the image formation part may be attached to the main body and detached from the main body; a plurality of opening-closing parts which may be opened and closed to attach the image formation part to the main body or detach the image formation part from the main body; and a plurality of locking parts latching each of the plurality of opening-closing parts to the main body, wherein when one of the plurality of locking parts undergoes a releasing operation, an other one of the plurality of locking parts also undergoes a releasing operation.

The intermediate transfer unit includes an intermediate transfer unit for secondarily transferring primarily transferred developed images from the plurality of image carriers onto a paper, an intermediate transfer unit driving mechanism for driving the intermediate transfer unit, and a housing for supporting the intermediate transfer unit driving mechanism. One end of the housing includes a plurality of developer inlet ports positionally corresponding to the developer supply ports of the developer containers respectively, a plurality of developer outlet ports positionally corresponding to the developer receiving ports of the developing devices respectively, and a plurality of developer supply paths connecting between the developer inlet ports and the developer outlet ports respectively.
