A method of manufacturing a resin foam includes dissolving a blowing agent into a mixture of a resin C and a resin D having a difference of solubility with respect to the blowing agent in an amount of more than 0% and less than 5%; subjecting the mixture to heat-melting for extrusion; and evaporating the blowing agent such that the resin foam has a porosity (X) of not less than 80%, a cell (L) with a cell diameter of not less than 1 &#x3bc;m and not more than 1000 &#x3bc;m, and a cell (S) with a cell diameter of not less than 0.01 &#x3bc;m and less than 1 &#x3bc;m, in which two peaks are present in cell diameter distribution, one peak thereof being present in not less than 10 &#x3bc;m and not more than 500 &#x3bc;m and the other peak being present in not less than 0.01 &#x3bc;m and less than 1 &#x3bc;m.

A multilayer polyester film is characterized in that a polyester (B) layer mainly composed of a polyester (B) is arranged on at least one side of a polyester (A) layer mainly composed of a polyester (A). The multilayer polyester film is also characterized by having an elastic modulus of 20 to 1000 MPa in an atmosphere at 23&#xb0; C. and an elastic modulus of 10 to 200 MPa in an atmosphere at 120&#xb0; C., and having substantially no-orientation.

Provided is a polymer prepared by using a vegetable oil-derived component and favorably used as a polylactic acid resin-softening agent that is effective in softening the polylactic acid resin while preserving the transparency of the polylactic acid resin and simultaneously resistant to bleeding out (extraction) of itself from the polylactic acid resin. Also provided are a resin mixture of the resin composition and a polylactic acid resin as well as a film or sheet prepared by using the resin mixture. The polymer (C) according to the present invention has an epoxidized vegetable oil segment (A) and a polylactic acid segment (B). The resin mixture according to the present invention is a mixture of the polymer (C) and the polylactic acid resin (D) at a (C)/(D) ratio of 10/90 to 50/50 (weight ratio).
