A wiper motor has: a magnet disposed on the yoke and formed with at least four poles; an armature disposed on an inner side of the magnet; a speed reduction mechanism unit having an output shaft for transmitting the rotation of the armature shaft; a gear housing connected to the yoke; a gear housing cover covering an opening of the gear housing; a magnet attached to the output shaft of the speed reduction mechanism unit; an absolute position detecting sensor disposed so as to face the magnet; and a control board having the absolute position detecting sensor attached thereto, the control board being disposed between the gear housing and the gear housing cover, and configured to control the rotation of the armature shaft.

Wiper motor

The present invention relates to a wiper apparatus in which it is easy to replace a wiper blade without this leading to any erroneous operation. When a wiper operation has been stopped by a wiper driving apparatus, the wiper driving apparatus causes the wiper arms to first move to a housing position and then stops the wiper arms. When wiper blades are to be replaced, an IG switchis turned off during a wiper operation. If the IG switchis turned off while the wiper arms are within a first stopping range, then the wiper arms are stopped at that position and the blades are replaced. If the wiper arms are stopped outside the first stopping range, then they are first moved to a bottom inverted position or a housing position and are then stopped.

Wiper driving apparatus

A gear including a gear shaft, and a gear wheel made of a resin material, the gear wheel being fixed to the gear shaft by molding. The gear having a plurality of concave portions and convex portions that repeat in a circumferential direction. The plurality of concave and convex portions are arranged such that they extend in the axial direction of the gear shaft, and arranged such that the convex portions of one concave and convex group are adjacent to the concave portions of the other concave and convex group. Due to the relative displacement of the concave portions and the convex portions, stepped portions are formed at a boundary between the concave and convex groups in the circumferential direction of the gear shaft.

A wiper motor device, in which a drive circuit portion and an output shaft are disposed adjacent to each other, capable of preventing water from reaching the drive circuit portion in a case where water invades along the output shaft, using an extension portion in which a cylindrical portion is externally fitted to the output shaft extends from the cover surrounding the upper opening of a casing which accommodates the drive circuit portion, and the lower part of a waterproof cap attached to the output shaft is externally fitted to the upper end part of the cylindrical portion.
