A multilayer film having a multi-layer structure unit which is a 51-layered or more multiple layer formed by alternately layering a layer (A layer) a main component of which is a polyester resin (resin A) having a dicarboxylic component and a diol component, and a layer (B layer) a main component of which is a thermoplastic resin (resin B) different from the resin A in optical properties; wherein at least one surface of the multi-layer structure unit has a refractive index of 1.68 or more and 1.80 or less, wherein the surface has a critical load of 15 mN or less at 100&#xb0; C. in a scratch test, and wherein the multilayer film has at least one reflection bandwidth having a reflectance of 30% or more continuous over a wavelength width of 20 nm or more in a profile of reflectance measured on at least one surface side of the multi-layer structure unit.

Laminate film

The present invention provides a laminate film and a display member including the laminate film, which are excellent in visibility of external information such as scenery and displayability of information from a projection member, and are also excellent in color tone reproducibility. The laminate film includes a laminate of 50 or more alternately arranged layers of a plurality of different thermoplastic resins, the laminate film having a transmittance of light incident perpendicularly to a film surface of 50% or more, the laminate film satisfying a relationship of R20&#x2264;R40&#x3c;R70, wherein R20, R40, and R70 are reflectances of a P-wave incident at angles of 20&#xb0;, 40&#xb0;, and 70&#xb0;, respectively, to the normal to the film surface, the reflectance of R70 being 30% or more, reflected light of the P-wave incident at 70&#xb0; to the normal to the film surface having a saturation of 20 or less.

Layered film and display device

A polyester resin composition including an ionic liquid that can dissolve an acid component monomer and/or oligomers of a polyester terephthalate, and a copper element that exhibits a reduced amount of production of the acid component monomer and/or oligomers of the polyester. Examples of the ionic liquid include 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride and tetrabutyl ammonium bromide. In one polyester resin composition, the surface roughness Ra of a capture plate is less than 0.150 &#x3bc;m, as measured when a sample of the polyester resin composition is melt at 300&#xb0; C. for 60 minutes under a nitrogen atmosphere, quickly cooled and thermally treated at 220&#xb0; C. for 8 hours to form scattered products which are then attached to the capture plate and a gelation ratio after a 6-hour melting treatment at 300&#xb0; C. under an atmosphere with an oxygen concentration of 1% is 5% or less.

Polyester resin composition and production method thereof

A polyester composition contains polyester, a phosphoric acid and an alkali metal phosphate, a phosphorous element content P (mol/t) is 1.8 mol/t or more and 5.0 mol/t or less relative to the whole of the polyester composition. The polyester composition contains at least one metal element of Mn and Ca, any divalent metal element content other than Mn and Ca is 5 ppm or less, and when an alkali metal element content relative to the polyester composition is denoted by M1 (mol/t), and a total amount of Mn element content and Ca element content relative to the polyester composition is denoted by M2 (mol/t), a metal element content M (mol/t) in the polyester composition which is calculated by expression (i) below and the phosphorous element content P (mol/t) satisfy expression (ii): (i) M=M1/2+M2 and (ii) 1.1&#x2266;M/P&#x2266;3.0.

A process of producing a polyester composition includes carrying out an esterification reaction of a dicarboxylic acid component with a diol component, and then carrying out a polycondensation reaction, wherein the diol component is added twice or more during a time from completion of the esterification reaction until beginning the polycondensation reaction, and alkali metal phosphate is added with an amount of COOH terminal groups of an esterification reactant being not more than 150 eq/ton.

Method for producing polyester compositions

The present invention is a composition containing a polyester resin containing at least an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid component and an alicyclic diol component, and it is a polyester resin composition which satisfies that a glass transition temperature is 65&#xb0; C. or more and 90&#xb0; C. or less, a refractive index at sodium D line is 1.500 or more and 1.570 or less, a titanium element content is 5 ppm or more and 500 ppm or less, a phosphorus element content is 50 ppm or more and 500 ppm or less and a gel fraction is 50% or less. By the present invention, it is possible to obtain a polyester resin composition having a low refractive index and photoelastic coefficient, and in which a thermally degraded foreign substance is reduced.

A method for producing a polyester resin composition includes conducting polyconensation via esterification or transesterification, wherein an alkali metal phosphate in an amount of 1.3 mol/ton to 3.0 mol/ton and phosphoric acid in an amount of 0.4 to 1.5 times (by mole) that of the alkali metal phosphate are added at a stage between the point of time when the esterication or transesterification has been substantially completed and the point of time when the intrinsic viscosity reaches 0.4. A polyester resin composition obtained by the process exhibits excellent long-term hydrolysis resistance and excellent mechanical characteristics.
