This invention intends to provide a vehicle-mounted driving recorder that can facilitate an after-the-fact analysis on not only situation data at a time of an accident but also situation data at a time of a hiyari-hatto and that can contribute accident prevention. The vehicle-mounted driving recorder comprises a data receiving section that receives situation data indicating behavior, a surrounding situation, and an operating situation of a vehicle and a data administration section that classifies the situation data into one of predetermined multiple categories based on contents of the received situation data and stores the classified situation data in a situation data storage section specified in a predetermined area of a memory.

Driving recorder

This invention intends to provide a vehicle-mounted driving recorder that can obtain necessary situation data only surely and accurately and that can contribute to effective use of a memory and to facilitation of an after-the-fact analysis of the situation data. The vehicle-mounted driving recorder comprises a situation data receiving section that receives situation data as being data indicating behavior, a surrounding situation and an operation situation of a vehicle and that temporarily stores the situation data in a temporary data storage section specified in a predetermined area of a memory, and a data administration section, in case that a plurality of contents indicated by the received situation data satisfy a previously specified given condition, that transfers a part or all of the situation data during a certain period before and after a time when the condition is satisfied from the temporary data storage section to the situation data storage section specified in a predetermined area of the memory.

In order to provide an integrated driving recorder that can avoid a trouble due to a temperature rise in a vehicle interior, the driving recorderis so arranged that one or multiple detection devices that sense a situation concerning a behavior, a surrounding conditions of a vehicle, or the like and that output situation data indicating the situation, and a situation data storage section that stores the situation data output from the detection device are held in a single casing, and a heat dissipation areais formed on the casingand a heat conduction memberthat has a predetermined thermal conductivity and whose one surface is connected to the heat dissipation areais arranged and another surface of the heat conduction membercan be bonded to a window glass W of the vehicle.

Multi-component analyzing apparatus

A refrigerant refill amount calculating apparatus is provided with concentration measuring units for measuring component ratios X:Y:Zof fluorocarbon S contained in a refrigerating machine, and a calculation processing unit. The calculating unit calculates additional filling amounts of respective refrigerant components which are required to fill fluorocarbon having a defined amount 'A' in accordance with defined component ratios X:Y:Z within the refrigerating machine 2 based upon an additional filling amount Xa of a refrigerant component which has been additionally filled into the refrigerating machine, and a change amount of component ratios X:Y:Z, X:Y:Zwhich have been measured before and after the refrigerant component was filled. Refill amounts of refrigerant components can be easily calculated in a correct manner.

Apparatus and method for calculating refill amount of refrigerant

A remote power switching system capable of detecting the emission of infrared thermal energy from a human body or other objects and automatically controlling a supply of power to electric equipment is provided. A controller unit having a switching unit capable of connecting to a source of power and controlling the output of power to a device that utilizes the power, incorporates a wireless receiver unit for receiving control signals to operate the switching unit. The controller unit can further include electronic prongs and electrical receptacles for providing a plug in connection for the device to be controlled. A remote controller that can be portable and of hand size has a first sensor unit for determining the presence of an object that intrudes within the predetermined zone. A transmitter unit can transmit a wireless signal when a control unit receives a signal from the first sensor unit. A second sensor unit can determine ambient light conditions which can also be considered by the control unit in determining the appropriateness of sending a wireless signal. Finally, control members can be used to delay the activation of the remote controller for a predetermined time period.

Remotely controlled power supply switching system

A sampling device for a gas analyzer in which a constant-rate flow of diluted sample gas is sampled by a constant-volume sampling device. A gas inlet port of a sampling passage of the constant-volume sampling device is positioned in a throat portion of a main venturi tube, or slightly upstream or downstream of the throat portion. A cold trap is provided downstream of the sampling passage to collect and supply a portion of the sampled gas to be analyzed. The velocity of the diluted sample gas in the throat portion of the main venturi tube is approximately Mach one, so that the sampling thereof is unaffected by pressure or flow-rate changes elsewhere in the system.

Sampling device for gas analyzers

A method and apparatus for controlling a robot to simulate driving of a motor vehicle while the vehicle is actually on a chassis dynamometer includes provision for quickly, automatically, and accurately determining an accelerator gain factor to be used by the robot in actuating the accelerator of the motor vehicle to achieve predetermined vehicle speeds and accelerations. As a result, the simulated driving of the motor vehicle can be achieved so that the vehicle may be tested according to a predetermined travel pattern. To determine the accelerator gain, a proportional gain is determined on the basis of differences in incremental accelerator openings and resulting accelerations's while the motor vehicle is in a selected transmission gear. A product of the gain multiplied by a coefficient based on the various transmission ratios available is used as the accelerator gain dependent upon the particular transmission ratio selected during a test sequence.

Apparatus and method of controlling a robot to automatically simulate

A drain separator in a gas analyzer is provided to rapidly remove drain or condensate from a gas flow by creating a rotary motion in the gas flow prior to introducing it into a separating chamber. In an exemplary embodiment, separating chamber 2, formed as a downwardly divergent conical space, connects with gas-inlet passage 6 at its upper end and an exhaust gas-outlet passage 3 at the periphery of its base. A sample gas-outlet passage 8 is disposed within separating chamber 2 in a coaxially aligned, vertically spaced opposing relationship to gas-inlet passage 6. Rotation of the gas flow may be accomplished by a vane 7, disposed within gas-inlet passage 6. Upon introduction of the rotating gas flow into separating chamber 2, the pressure on the flow is reduced causing the drain to condense and become distributed about the circumference of the low pressure gas flow. A portion of the gas from the center of the low pressure gas flow containing little condensate then passes through sample gas-inlet passage 8 to a gas analyzer. At the same time the majority of the condensate and waste gas is removed from separating chamber 2 through exhaust gas-outlet passage 3.

A method and apparatus for measuring particulates in a combustion gas is accomplished by dividing the combustion gas into a first and second sample gas. The first sample gas is filtered to remove particulates to create a reference gas sample. A combustion furnace can heat both the reference gas sample and the sample gas to oxidize any particulates in the sample gas. A gas analyzer that is connected to the furnace can detect the gas components in, respectively, the reference gas sample and the sample gas, and a comparison of the detected results can determine the concentration of particulates.

In a low-pressure testing apparatus for analyzing gas exhausted from cars under a condition in which air pressure is low, an exhaust-gas analyzing device is provided with a dilution tunnel for diluting exhaust gas from cars with air which is under a decompressed condition, the exhaust-gas analyzer is connected to said dilution tunnel at a supply port side thereof and arranged in a low-pressure testing room, and an exhaust intake is open to the air outside of the low-pressure testing room via airtight piping. An influence caused by the fluctuation of pressure within the low-pressure testing room upon the accuracy of anaylsis can be eliminated.

A sensitivity-calibration circuit for an HC analyzer includes a scale factor adjuster for setting a scale factor in the analyzer for determining an n-hexane reduced gas concentration value of propane gas used during sensitivity-calibration of the analyzer and a sensitivity adjuster for adjusting the sensitivity of the analyzer and a switching means for switching the circuit between a first calibration state and a second measurement state.

A sample gas extracting apparatus constituted by a plurality of parallel connected constant flow-rate gas lines each having a critical flow Venturi connected in the downstream portion, relative to the direction of gas flow therethrough, thereof and a changeover valve in the upstream portion, relative to the direction of gas flow therethrough, thereof which can be changed over for passing sample gas to the corresponding critical flow Venturi or for passing air to the corresponding critical flow Venturi. A sample gas line is connected to the upstream end of the parallel connected constant flow-rate gas lines and has a sample gas extracting device connected therein just upstream of the constant flow-rate gas lines. A suction device is connected to the downstream end of the parallel connected constant flow-rate gas lines and having a suction capacity greater than the total of the critical gas flow rates of the critical flow Venturi's and less than that which will cause a surging phenomenon in the apparatus.

Sample gas extracting apparatus

An apparatus for indirectly measuring or controlling the separation ratio of a gas to be measured or controlled when passing through a branch passage. A diluent gas with a known and adjustable flow rate is supplied to each of the branched passages through which the gas to be measured flows. The difference in the concentration of a specified gas in each of the branched passages is then measured. If the difference is equal to zero, then the separation ratio of the diluent gas is equal to the separation ratio of the gas to be measured. Alternatively, the separation ratio of the diluent gas may be set to a predetermined desired value and the flow of the gas to be measured controlled until the detected difference in concentration is equal to zero, at which point the separation ratio of the gas to be measured is equal to the separation ratio of the diluent gas.

Apparatus for measuring or controlling the separation ratio of gas

A gas analyzer of the fluid modulation type includes at least one cell, structure for alternately introducing a sample gas to be analyzed and a reference gas into the cell, a detector for analyzing a property of the sample gas, and an arrangement for alternately discharging the sample gas and the reference gas from the cell. A critical flow device is located in the discharging arrangement. A pump is located in the discharging arrangement and has a capacity for operating the critical flow device under conditions of critical gas flow, thereby maintaining the gas passing through the critical flow device and the cell at a constant flow rate.
