Punch press with forming dies and operation method for the same

The present invention provides a linear motor mounted press machine which uses a boosting mechanism to enable machining with a greater press tonnage using a press driving source with relatively low power and which, for machining with a smaller press tonnage, enables efficient high-speed machining. A linear motor mounted press machine includes a boosting mechanismhaving an output portion that performs a rectilinear reciprocating operation, a first linear motorcoupled to an output portion of the boosting mechanism, a second linear motorhaving an output shaft that drives a press toolforward and backward, and a coupling switching mechanism. The coupling switching mechanismreleasably couples the output shaft of the second linear motorto the output portion of the boosting mechanism. The present invention provides a tool centering mechanism for a punch press having a plurality of tools installed in juxtaposition and which can simultaneously be replaced with new ones, wherein the tool pitch of the tools can be adjusted to agree with the pitch of cooperating tools. Tool centering mechanism in punch press

A punch press, adapted to receive a punch tool having a passage for discharging a fluid for ejecting slugs punched out during the punching process, includes a movable ram means for striking the punch, the ram means having a bottom dead position and including a passage connectable to the passage of the punch when the ram means strikes the punch. The press further includes a valve for controlling the supply of the slug-ejecting fluid to the ram means, the valve comprising a movable member responsive to the vertical motion of the ram means and a stationary member relative to which the movable member slides, the valve being adapted to control the flow of the fluid to the ram means, the valve being open while the ram means is positioned within a predetermined positional range including but not limited to, the dead bottom position of the ram means.

Punch press

Pin insertion holes 25, and 26 are adjustable relative to each other and are arranged such that one is on a die holder 6 which is mounted on an alignment plate 7 of a lower turret 2 and the other one is on the alignment plate 7 itself. A mounting pin 11 is inserted through the die holder 6 and through both pin insertion holes 25, 26. This mounting pin 11 is capable of increasing and decreasing in diameter when inserted in the pin insertion holes 25, 26. The mounting pin 11 is charged with a pressure medium 22 such as oil or the like and this diameter increase is carried out by the pressurization of the pressure medium 22 by the screwing of a pressure application screw 23 or the like.

Die holder mounting structure

A single die raising device is arranged on a turret for raising a die used for forming so that such die-raising device does not become an obstruction when the work is delivered. Apparatus is described in which each of a plurality of form dies (5) arranged on a lower turret (2) can be raised. A die-raising device (16) that raises the die (5) from below the lower turret (2) is arranged so as to be utilized in one place, for example, in the punch position (P), of the rotation path (L) of the die (5) by rotation of the lower turret (2). A projecting part (29a) that projects lower than the lower surface of the lower turret (2) is arranged on each die (5). The die raising device (16) comprises a retracting member (17) which is able to retract horizontally and has a horizontal surface (17b) and a slanting surface (17a) which can lift up the projecting part (29a) of the die (5), and an actuator (18).

In the punch press of the present invention, a head portion to which are loaded punch and die (tools), a tool receiving portion for receiving a plurality of tools therein, and a tool changer disposed therebetween to effect the delivery of tools, are provided integrally, and the tool receiving portion is formed around a throat so as to be rotatable in a direction in which it intersects the axis of the throat, the throat functioning to support upper and lower frames.
