A thermally actuated micro mirror includes a mirror surface, and a support structure section having a multilayer structure to support the mirror surface. The support structure section generates heat by the application of electricity thereto, and is deflected by a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion in the multilayer structure, thereby tilting the mirror surface at an arbitrary angle. The support structure section is disposed between the mirror surface and an electrode section for applying electricity. A longitudinal axis of the support structure section is perpendicular to the center axis of the mirror surface, and the longitudinal center of the support structure section is substantially placed on the center axis of the mirror surface. Therefore, the turning axis of the mirror surface is not displaced, and the light reflecting position does not move on the mirror surface.

An anti-reflection film having superior anti-reflection properties and which is suited for practical application is to be manufactured easily and simply with high productivity and a reduced manufacturing cost. To this end, there are sequentially formed by layering, an adhesive layer , a first optical thin film , containing one or more of titanium nitride, hafnium nitride and zirconium nitride, and a second optical thin film having a refractive index of 1.35 to 1.7. Disclosed is an antireflection film used to be stuck on the surface of a glass panel of a CRT, which can be inexpensively manufactured at a high productivity while satisfying all of requirements regarding its adhesive strength, reflectance characteristic, electric resistance and total light transmittance. The antireflection film is formed by stacking silicon oxide films and indium tin oxide films on a base film in multilevels, wherein the thickness of the uppermost silicon oxide film of the antireflection film is thicker than the indium tin oxide film directly under the uppermost silicon oxide film, and the lowermost silicon oxide film, positioned at the interface with the base film, of the antireflection film is a SiO,film where the value x is in a range of 0.5 to 1.9.
