A power transmission device includes a case that houses a power transmission mechanism, a control valve configured to control an oil pressure supplied to the power transmission mechanism, and an electric pump configured to supply oil to the control valve. The case has a first chamber that houses the power transmission mechanism, and a second chamber that is arranged adjacent to the first chamber. The control valve and the electric pump are arranged upright in the second chamber. In the case, a first recess that is recessed from above the electric pump toward the electric pump is formed in a region that overlaps the electric pump, as viewed from above along an axis of rotation of the electric pump, and a connector of the electric pump is arranged such that a connection part with a mating connector faces up in the first recess.

Power transmission device

A power transmission device for a vehicle includes a housing that accommodates a power transmission mechanism, a control valve configured to control an oil pressure supplied to the power transmission mechanism, a first pump and a second pump configured to supply oil to the control valve. The housing includes a first chamber that accommodates the power transmission mechanism and the first pump, and a second chamber that is arranged adjacent to the first chamber in a horizontal line direction. In the first chamber, the first pump is arranged such that an axis of rotation of the first pump extends along a direction of an axis of rotation of the power transmission mechanism. In the second chamber, the control valve is arranged upright. In the second chamber, the second pump is arranged upright with an axis of rotation of the second pump extending along a vertical direction.

The control unit includes a wiring board on which a connector is disposed. The connector is disposed on a back surface of the wiring board, the back surface being a back surface on a back side of a facing surface facing a body of the control unit. The wiring board includes legs protruding from the back surface on the back side of the facing surface facing the body.

A power transmission device includes a power transmission mechanism, an oil pump, a first electric wire, a controller and a control unit. The power transmission mechanism is arranged in a first chamber. The oil pump is arranged in a second chamber. The control unit is connected with the controller via the first electric wire. The first electric wire is provided inside the second chamber, and is arranged at a position that does not overlap with the oil pump when viewed along a first direction that is a direction facing from the oil pump to the controller.

A continuously variable transmission includes a variator having a belt wound around a pair of pulleys, and a case forming a container chamber for the variator. The pulleys include fixed pulleys and movable pulleys. The belt includes elements stacked to be arranged in an annular form, and rings binding the element stacked. A circumference wall portion of the case is provided with a monitoring hole enabling flank faces of the elements to be monitored.
