Locking structure for connector

A holderwhich holds a FPCis coupled with a connector. The connectorincludes a female housingand a terminal metal fitting. The female housinghouses the terminal metal fitting. The terminal metal fittingincludes a pair of contact piecesand. The holderis inserted in between the pair of contact piecesand. It is assumed that a temperature change is &#x394;T, the linear expansion coefficient of the holderis &#x3b2;a, and the distance between a first fixing portion C and a contact S is. It is also assumed that the linear expansion coefficient of the terminal metal fittingis &#x3b2;b, and the distance between a second fixing portion and the contact S is. Assuming that the elastic coefficient of the contact pieceis k, the static friction coefficient between the conductorof FPCand terminal metal fittingis &#x3bc;, and the elastic restoring force of the contact pieceis F,&#x394;&#xd7;(&#x3bc;&#xd7;)In this way, even when the terminal metal fitting is down-sized and formed with multi-poles and low insertion force of the connector is realized, the connector can be surely electrically connected to a complementary conductor.

Connector

The electrical connector has a pair of first and second terminal fittings each connected to each of a pair of first and second electrical cables and a connector housing holding the terminal fittings. The electrical connector comprises a cable distinction device for electrically connecting the first electrical cable to the first electrical cable and the second electrical cable to the second electrical cable. The cable distinction device has a cutout with a shoulder, the cutout allowing insertion of the electrical cables into the connector housing, the shoulder positioned at a middle of an inner edge of the cutout, and the shoulder allows insertion of the first electrical cable but prevents insertion of the second electrical cable into the connector housing. The first and second electrical cables have an outer diameter equal to each other, and the first electrical cable has a protrusion projecting from an outer surface of a sheath to abut against the shoulder of the cutout when inserted in to the cutout. Alternatively, the first electrical cable may have an outer diameter larger than that of the second electrical, and the first electrical cable abuts against the shoulder of the cutout when inserted in to the cutout.

Paired electrical cable connector

A leg portion is provided at a second connector so that a gap is created between a flat circuit body and a circuit board. The leg portion also serves as a positioning projection, and a locking hole for being engaged with the positioning projection is provided at the flat circuit body. A guiding groove for receiving the leg portion is formed at a first connector. A guiding part for receiving the first connector in a sliding manner is formed at an end of an opening of the first connector, and an inclined part for sliding the guiding part there along is formed at an end of an engaging part of the second connector.

Structure for engaging and releasing connectors

The electrical connector has a pair of first and second terminal fittings each connected to each of a pair of first and second electrical cables and a connector housing holding the terminal fittings. The electrical connector comprises a cable distinction device for electrically connecting the first electrical cable to the first electrical cable and the second electrical cable to the second electrical cable. The cable distinction device has a cutout with a shoulder, the cutout allowing insertion of the electrical cables into the connector housing, the shoulder being positioned at a middle of an inner edge of the cutout, and the shoulder allows insertion of the first electrical cable but prevents insertion of the second electrical cable into the connector housing. The terminal is connected with a first electric wire of the newly added electronic device. The second connector housing is supported slidably along a direction B intersecting with the first electric wire . Connector for connecting electric wire of added device with provided electric wire

A piercing terminal having high reliability for crimping is provided, by which the terminal can be securely pierced through a flat circuit body even if the circuit body has a thick conductor. The terminal includes: a conductive basal plate; and a plurality of claw pieces arising from both sides in the width direction of the basal plate, wherein a protrusion height of each claw piece is different. Each of the pair of claw pieces may have the same protrusion height and a protrusion height of each pair is different from that of the other pair. A notch is formed between the claw pieces adjoining each other in the length direction of the basal plate. A plurality of the claw pieces are formed so that an imaginary line connecting the tops of the claw pieces gradually inclines as approaching an end in the length direction of the basal plate.
