A security system for notifying a driver that a mechanical key is being retained in a portable device. The portable device has an indicator that is illuminated when the mechanical key is not retained in the portable device.

Security system and portable device usable therein

A three-axis antenna chip includes a cross-shaped core made of a magnetic substance. The core includes an X-axis core piece and a Y-axis core piece. The core pieces are laid on top of each other such that the core pieces extend perpendicular to each other. An X-axis coil portion is provided about the X-axis core piece, and a Y-axis coil portion is provided about the Y-axis core piece. A Z-axis coil portion is provided about a Z-axis that is perpendicular to the X-axis core piece and the Y-axis core piece. The three-axis antenna chip thus constructed is advantageous in reducing the size.

Multiaxial antenna chip

A vehicle remote controller that reduces the number of parts. The vehicle remote controller includes a portable device carried by a driver and a transceiver () arranged in the vehicle to output a request signal for intercommunicating with the portable device and to output a transponder driving radio wave. The transceiver outputs the request signal to either a first area, which is in a vehicle passenger compartment, or an area outside the vehicle, and has a common antenna () for outputting the transponder driving radio wave to a second area, which is in the vehicle passenger compartment.

Vehicle remote controller

A door unlocking device for a vehicle includes transmit/receive device activated to send an operation signal to a portable transceiver and receives an identification code from the transceiver, the transmit/receive device unlocking a door locking mechanism when the identification code matches a preset registration code, a starter switch activating the transmit/receive device when a door knob of an exterior door handle is pressed toward a vehicle body through first door handle actuation, and the door knob actuated to a first operation position and unlock unit unlocking the door locking mechanism when the door knob of the exterior door handle is actuated to a second operation position as a result of second door handle actuation subsequent to the first door handle actuation in the direction opposite to the direction of the first door handle actuation.

Door unlocking device for vehicle

An apparatus for determining emergency conditions of a vehicle including: an acceleration sensor which detects the acceleration of a vehicle and an operation-signal generating apparatus which establishes a signal level based on the signal outputted from the acceleration sensor in a circuit established in accordance with the kind of vehicle collision and which outputs a signal for actuating a passenger safety device when the established signal level exceeds a reference value which is predetermined according to the kind of vehicle collision. This allows the passenger safety device to be actuated at a suitable time according to vehicle collision.
