A transport apparatus includes a transport unit configured to transport a protection material in each operation of a packing operation and an unpacking operation; a protection material placement portion on which the protection material is stacked; a container placement portion on which a container main body portion is placed; a control unit configured to control the transport unit in an operation mode selected from a plurality of operation modes corresponding to types of the protection material; an attachment determination unit configured to determine attachment/detachment of components that are selected in correspondence with the type of the protection material and form the transport unit, the protection material placement portion, and the container placement portion; and a consistency determination unit configured to determine consistency between the selected operation mode and a determination result of the attachment determination unit.

Transport apparatus and control method

An ultrasonic diagnostic system includes elements disposed around a subject to transmit and/or receive ultrasonic waves. A controller controls the elements so that some of the elements disposed in a first region transmit ultrasonic waves at a first angle to a diagnosis target in the subject, some of the elements disposed in a second region receive reflected waves of the ultrasonic waves, which are reflected from the diagnosis target at a second angle, and some of the elements disposed in a third region receive reflected waves of the ultrasonic waves, which are reflected from the diagnosis target at a third angle distinct from the second angle. An operator calculates a velocity vector of the diagnosis target using the reflected waves received by the some of the elements disposed in the second region and the reflected waves received by the some of the elements disposed in the third region.

Ultrasonic diagnostic system and ultrasonic diagnostic method

An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive support and a single-layer photosensitive layer. The conductive support has an outer peripheral surface with a maximum surface roughness height (Rmax) of about 4.0 &#x3bc;m or less, and the outer peripheral surface has a recess with a depth-to-aperture size ratio (depth/aperture size) of about 0.03 or more and about 0.12 or less. The single-layer photosensitive layer is disposed on the conductive support and has a thickness of about 20 &#x3bc;m or more and a modulus of elasticity of about 4.5 GPa or more.

An image forming apparatus includes an electrophotographic photoreceptor which includes an electroconductive substrate, an undercoat layer which is provided on the electroconductive substrate, contains a binder resin and a metal oxide particle, and has an electrostatic capacitance per unit area of from 10 pF/cmto 100 pF/cm, and a photosensitive layer provided on the undercoat layer; an electrostatic latent image forming unit that forms an electrostatic latent image on a charged surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor; and a developing unit that stores a developer containing a toner which contains toner particles of which a volume average particle diameter is from 3.0 &#x3bc;m to 5.5 &#x3bc;m, and develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor by using the developer, so as to form a toner image.

Image forming apparatus and image forming method

There are provided a display in which a sealing section is prevented from being spread and the sealing section is allowed to be provided in a desired region, and an electronic unit including the display. Image forming apparatus

The present invention provides a container opening/closing device for opening and closing a lid of a container. The container comprises a container body including an opening and the lid detachably attached to the opening. The device comprises an opening/closing mechanism including a holding portion for holding the lid and a pressing mechanism. The opening/closing mechanism opens and closes the opening by moving the holding portion between a closing position and an open position. The pressing mechanism presses a peripheral edge of the holding portion toward the container body when the opening/closing mechanism moves the lid from the open position to the closing position.
