For example, game processing depending on the number of players walking in the same time slot is executed, or game processing according to the totalized value of the accumulated total step count values of the plurality of pedometers is executed.

An information processing apparatus includes, for example, a touch panel placed over a display screen. A step count measuring system includes a pedometer and a step count managing apparatus which are able to communicate with each other. When a battery is replaced in the pedometer, a reset is executed to start initialization processing, and the time stored as first time data is stored as second time data which can be discriminated from the first time data. A recording time of each of the step count values being associated with the first time data before the initialization processing is set on the basis of the time counted by the step count managing apparatus, and a recording time of each of the step count values being associated with the second time data after the initialization processing is set on the basis of the second time data.

Step count measuring system

A frame of still picture data is captured at an instant specified by a user from video signals supplied from a given video source, such as a television receiver, a video camera, etc., and the image data is displayed. When the user specifies an area of image to be cut out from the displayed still picture, the image data in the specified area is cut out and recorded as a cutout image. Each cutout image recorded is displayed in the form of an icon. When any of the icons is selected by the user, the corresponding cutout image data is read and pasted in a part to be changed in the original image data. Thus an image can be easily created by user's choice.

A power steering apparatus is provided, which is adapted to generate a steering assist force by a hydraulic pressure of a pump driven by an electric motor. The apparatus includes: a pulse width modulation control circuit for controlling the electric motor through a pulse width modulation control; a load detection circuit for detecting a load applied on the electric motor; and a control circuit for progressively increasing the PWM duty of the pulse width modulation control circuit up to 100% if the load on the electric motor is not lower than a predetermined level.

Power steering apparatus

A power steering apparatus integrally comprises an electric motor, a hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor, and a controlling device which is disposed between the electric motor and hydraulic pump and which controls the electric motor, in which steering is assisted by oil pressure generated by the hydraulic pump, wherein a radiating body for radiating a heat generated by the controlling device is disposed between the controlling device and hydraulic pump, so that the heat generated by the controlling device is radiated to the hydraulic pump. With this configuration, it is possible to efficiently radiate a heat generated inside the controlling device, the heat radiation can be designed without being influenced by ambient condition, and it is possible to be replaced by, member having a low heat-resistance.

A power steering apparatus has a flow amount detecting sensor for detecting an actuating oil flow amount on the exit side of an actuator operated by an actuating oil pressure generated by a hydraulic pump, and a control circuit for controlling the rotation of the motor for driving the hydraulic pump. The power steering apparatus has a flow amount variation detecting sensor for detecting a variation amount of an actuating oil flow amount on the exit side of the actuator and a control circuit for controlling the motor rotation on the basis of the variation amount. This is to compensate for the decrease in the flow of oil to the actuator caused by an expansion of a hose between the pump and the actuator.

An electric power steering apparatus comprises broken point characteristics determining means for determining a value of a steering torque signal corresponding to a broken point of a broken line function on the basis of a vehicle speed signal from a vehicle speed sensor, a broken line function circuit for determining the broken line function in accordance with the broken point determining signal determined by the broken point characteristics determining means and outputting an analog signal corresponding to the broken line function, and means for determining a target value of a motor current to drive an electric motor for assisting steering on the basis of the analog signal.

A switching element for controlling electric power to be supplied to a motor for generating steering assistance power, and a circuit which outputs a control signal to the switching element according to a driving condition are incorporated in an insulating casing. The insulating casing is attached to a housing of a power steering device. An elastic heat-conducting insulating sheet lies between the switching element and the housing. The switching element is pressed against the housing via the sheet.

An electric power steering apparatus comprising a broken-line function circuit for outputting a predetermined analog broken-line function signal on the basis of a torque detection signal, a gain circuit for giving a predetermined gain to the broken-line function signal, a polarity inverting circuit for inverting the polarity of the broken-line function signal, a first attenuating means for attenuating the torque detection signal at a predetermined rate, a second attenuating means for attenuating an output signal of said polarity inverting circuit at a predetermined rate, an addition circuit for adding a signal from the first attenuating, a signal from the second attenuating means and an output signal of the gain circuit, and outputting the addition value as a target value of a motor current, and a differential amplifying circuit for calculating a difference between the target value and the motor current detected by a detecting circuit for the purpose of feedback control, wherein a steering force assisting motor is driven on the basis of an output signal from the differential amplifying circuit.

In an electric power steering apparatus, a control unit is divided into two units. A first control unit which determines a first motor current target value is constructed only by hardware. A second control unit includes a fail-safe unit not required to respond quickly. The second control unit determines a second motor current target value, and outputs, to the first control unit, a signal for changing the first motor current target value on the basis of the first motor current target value, the second motor current target value, a driving current, and a signal indicative of a condition of a vehicle. By sharing of roles in this way, it is possible to enhance the responsivity of the apparatus to a steering operation and to realize the reduction in production costs.
